We wanted to try JJ'S because I had heard from several people how good it was. We tried several different items from the menu. We had the fried pickle sticks, loaded cheese fries, and roll ups from the appetizer menu. We had the JR'S sandwich, breakfast burger, and JJ's pasta. We had 2 Pepsi's and a sprite. To begin with, the Pepsi's and the sprite were flat. So we all switched to sweet tea. The sweet tea was good. The fried pickle sticks were good, and the house ranch dressing was very good. The loaded fries were not that good. They were too salty, in our opinion. The roll ups were plain. They just had no real taste at all. The JJ's pasta just had a weird taste that none of us were crazy about. The JR'S sandwich was not good, and there was a hair in it. So I had 2 bites, and that was it. The breakfast burger was ok, but it was not good enough for us to make a return, considering everything else that was wrong for us. The manager on shift was very nice, as was our waitress. The manager told us to try again because their main chef was off on Mondays. Our waitress, although she was a nice girl, was not a very good waitress. We had to ask a different waitress to refill our drinks because we could never seem to find ours. She came to check on us one time. The manager told us to try again because their main chef was off on Mondays. I'm not sure if we will try again, $80 for a meal, and we left hungry because none of us ate or food is not something I want to do again. However, if I decide to try again, I will...
Read moreA little disappointed with this restaurant. It's a nice place and the people were friendly. Also, it's new so there's going to be some hiccups and growing pains. Every place has those. So I will strictly be reviewing the price to portion part of my order. Their Belgian waffles are $13 for a full order or $9 for half. For $3 more you can get breaded fried chicken breast pieces. So I got the half waffle and chicken. If I could post a picture I would. The servings of food were extremely small compared to the size of the plate. Chicken was very thin. The waffle was not large either. And there were a few meager pieces of fruit on the side. So if I hadn't have got the chicken, I would have paid $9 for two small pieces of waffle and a couple pieces of fruit. Unacceptable. Let's be honest, it's realistically about 20 cents worth of batter poured into a waffle iron. Not exactly gourmet. I spent $13+ tip and left hungry. Again, the place and people are fine, and I don't mind paying up for good, plentiful food, but I haven't felt this ripped off in a long time. IF I go back, I'll stick to a burger. Still $13, but...
Read moreThe place looked very nice. Very modern and updated. Appeared clean.
Ordered a Belgian waffle which was served cold. The butter wouldn't even melt. I may have been able to overlook the cold food since it is a new establishment, but the place was not busy at all, the food is overpriced, and the service was bad at best. The waitress was not kind, and not attentive at all. We had to ask for every little thing, and she seemed very put out if we asked for something else. Our order was placed on the table, and she was gone. She did not really seem to care whether we were happy with the experience or not. The menu items were expensive, especially for what you're ordering, which, again, could be overlooked if there was something that made it worth the cost. If the food had been good, it may be worth trying again, but unfortunately, there was too much bad to justify a return to this establishment. Would absolutely NOT recommend this place for anyone. There are plenty of other comparable places to go, with better prices and...
