I’m not usually the kind of person to leave reviews of any kind but this visit needs one. I came in to eat today around 6:00. I had to wait for 4 other customers to get cashed out, I was asked if I ordered takeout and I said no, that I was dine in. I was told to sit wherever. Around 6:15 I placed my order. My drinks came out not too long after but I had to wait a good while for my food. I understood since there was a table of four ahead of me. Eventually I received my food and it was delicious. The food is rarely the issue here. But once the plate was handed to me that would have been one of the last times I saw my waitress. I was never asked about my meal or if anything else was needed. Just given food and seemingly forgotten. All the while I’m eating it’s apparent that I’m not the only one getting this treatment. Everyone else was constantly having to flag down someone, told they would receive whatever it was they were asking for and nothing happened. Several people coming in to pick up their to-go orders had to wait a decent amount of time. I finished eating, sat and waited. Someone would ask for something or someone would come in to pick up their order, one of the two girls who would walk back to the kitchen and most times wouldn’t have anything with them. Each time quickly getting passed by without a chance to ask for a box or my ticket. At least 40 minutes after finishing my food passed before the waitress asks if I need box. Nearly 20 minutes passes again until I’m given a box she then asks if I want a drink to go to which I say no. I simply didn’t have it in me to wait any more since I could feel myself growing upset. I tipped even though truthfully I didn’t want to. I understand how the economy is but I expected halfway decent service. I didn’t...
Read moreAuthentic Thai Cuisine. Not even close. I ordered pork pad kra pao and got a dish that closely resembled fried pepper steak but with chicken. There wasn't any Thai basil, no pork, and no lime juice. When I asked them what the heck I was getting they told me I had to order it "Thai Style." I was in an authentic Thai restaurant, I shouldn't have to ask for "Thai Style" food. Also, the beef salad was not made in an authentic style either. I guess I should have asked for it to be actual "Thai" food. For those that like this place you're being fooled. This is not even close to real, authentic Thai food. Go to a real Thai restaurant and you'll see the difference. I sent all my food back and still paid the full price for it. $20 for terrible food. I could have gotten the real meal I ordered for 1/2 that price anywhere else. Skip this place and go to Sonic instead. At least you'll get what you order there at a...
Read moreWas in Mountain Home, AR, on business and having one open evening to eat anywhere, I looked up the best-reviewed restaurants in town. Enter Dusit Thai. Coworker and I were blown away by the quality of the food and the exceptional service we recieved from the waitstaff. The portion size was good (I took a to-go box back to the hotel, for later) and the pricing is competitive. I ordered the Summer Roll appetizer and the #18, mixed stir fried vegetables, with steamed rice and tofu. The tofu was cooked perfectly, firm on the outside, crispy on the edges and it soaked up the oils and light peanut sauce beautifully. Coworker ordered the #35, the spicy Panang with beef. He expressed his appreciation for the flavor and heat of his dish. We raved about the meal and the service for the entire short drive back to the hotel. I couldn't reccomend Dusit Thai Cuisine enough. Simply put: ที่ดีเยี่ยม...
