Not the best in town. I walked in with a visible handicap and the hostess strutted to my booth so fast I couldn't keep up. She was halfway back to the podium as I turned the corner and she pointed to my seat. I'm here just after 3:30, the place isn't busy and no one was waiting behind me, so I'm not sure what fire she was in a rush to put out. Very uninviting for a first time impression. The server was prompt and courteous, but the complimentary chips had a hint they were starting to go stale. The dining room is dark and dimly lit, making reading the menu a challenge with my not so perfect eyesight. I opted for the shrimp chimichanga after the menu boasted "10 shrimp". To my disappointment, the chimi was the size of a small burrito. I've never had such a small chimi portion, it was unexpected for the price charged ($10.99). The Spanish rice left a strange after taste and after two bites I didn't opt for another. Disappointing experience and I won't be a...

This place has gone way downhill. I've gone for the past 10 years and the food used to be fresh and tasted good. I went with family a few weeks ago in the afternoon. The chips were cold, and the food was as if it was old and cooked twice. One of us got fajitas from the grill, which didn't come out fresh and sizzling like they're supposed to. The fajita nachos were just not good like they used to be. Again, not fresh. My toddler didn't even want to eat her chicken nuggets and fries. They were so overcooked yet not fresh. When I was a kid, they had actual chicken strips.. Now they use frozen dinosaur-shaped nuggets, and they couldn't even get that right. When given feedback about the food, the owner told us it was cooked fresh, at 10 THAT MORNING. Hours before it was served to us! The food wasn't enjoyable and on top of that, we felt sick after eating it. We used to go all the time. I started noticing it not being good anymore a while ago. Not...

I have been going to this place for 17 years. Tonight was the worst experience and the last experience! A table that was seated well after we ordered got their food first. When we finally got our food it was cold. I ordered fajita Mexicana got mostly vegetables and chicken very little steak and chorizo. When I told them that I was unhappy with my experience the guy wanted to take half off the price and I said no I didn't even eat half of it. Normally I take it home with me it was not even good enough to take home. So when I handed him the money and he started getting my change he started shaking and slamming his hand down in the register to get my change. He was obviously angry because I told him I I was very disappointed. I took a picture of it but I can't figure out how to load the picture it's not giving me that option. We...

While I'm Arkansas spending time with family, we decided to grab some Mexican food and stopped by El Charro, which came highly recommended. At first, I was against the idea because we deep in Arkansas grabbing Mexican food. That notion just didn't seem right. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the place, staff and quality of the food. The owner and staff were friendly and welcoming. We didn't have to wait too long for our food to come out. I ended up ordering chilled Verde and my girlfriend ordered enchiladas. Outside the meat being cut up differently, the chilled Verde tasted just like it does when I buy it back in California.... Delicious. The drinks were made with love and a heavy hand, which was a welcome plus. This will definitely be my go to place next time I'm in Arkansas visiting family. Until next time...

The service here was great they took the time (it was our first time in) they helped us make choices and answered all our questions. Now the food was a direct extension of the workers pride and love for what they do. It was to die for. Fresh flavorful and just amazing. I had fajitas and they were so good the veggies the beef the spices oh man they were so good, they server kept us taken care of and our drinks full. This place is top notch must stop in if your in the area

Tired of eating at restaurants where the bill comes seconds after your meal is served? Try this old school Mexican Restaurant for delicious meals, homemade chips, pleasant servers that let you linger over your burrito or Margarita. Everything we ate was delicious. The burrito was overstuffed with meat, the refried beans and guacamole were flavorful. There was more food in the lunches than either of us could eat. An enjoyable place to enjoy a laid-back lunch.
