Placed an order to Jack in the Box tonight through the Mobile app (not DoorDash) for my husband to go pick up. I never have very high expectations, because fast food is a stressful industry, but I’m floored about my experience tonight. We were understanding about them being busy, and even accidentally handing out our food to someone else. But what I’m not understanding about is that when the issue was brought up, the woman at the counter shrugged her shoulders, said ”sorry” and walked away. Didn’t offer to replace it or refund us. Completely dismissed him. So he comes home, asks me if I maybe placed it for delivery, checked my email and it was definitely for pickup. I tried to call, no one answered, tried again, and the line was disconnected. So I drive back there, wait in line for an hour and ask about my order. Where she hands me our crumpled up bags. So I ask her if it had been sitting there for the whole hour and a half I’ve been trying to get it, and she explains that because they’re so behind on orders, it was “not that old” and a doordasher had just taken it and brought it back because it was the wrong order, then walked away, and starts ranting to her coworker about how she’s not going to replace food, and that if it needs replaced, that we need to contact DoorDash. I told her I didn’t go through DoorDash and I went through their app, and she told me to call DoorDash. Low and behold, got home and the food was so old the buns were hard, my daughters nuggets were hard, and the food was cold, and the drinks were watered down. At that point I gave up, I’m not going back because it’s a waste of my time and energy and my daughters bed time and will call again tomorrow to talk to someone else. I feel it’s not Doordash’s fault that the employees gave them the wrong order. That is the employees wrong to right. And even if it was a Dashers mistake, I feel they should ensure the customers get the items they pay for, because accidents happen, and you have to just go with it. Under any circumstance, they should never hand out food that’s an hour and a half old sitting on the counter, or has been in someone else’s vehicle without their knowledge, or in someone’s home and just remake the food....
Read moreIt usually takes a long time to get my food from here but I put up with it because the food is good. But yesterday I had absolute worst experience ever. Mark was working the drive thru and had a very hard time understanding anything I was saying. I had to repeat myself numerous times for everything, and he kept getting things wrong kept removing things. It took a long time just to put my order in. Then I pay and get my drinks and no receipt, and wait over 10 mins before he tells me to pull forward, at least 10 more mins go by before he brings out my food then I tell him I didn't get one of the drinks. He apologized profusely and went back in. Then I see it's missing one of the burgers so I tell him about that when he brings my drink and receipt. He goes back in and I look at the receipt and see he removed a whole combo from the order and added something I didn't even order. Super annoyed. Then, I'm assuming, the lead comes out and tells me I didn't order that. Her accusatory tone of that pushed me over and I snapped for a second, I wish I could've apologized for that part but oh well. I then proceeded to tell her that Mark is either high or hard of hearing, which was truly how I felt while dealing with him. That was when she straight up told me "you need to leave, I won't let you insult my employees" then walked away and wouldn't listen anymore.
That last part really made me furious. No questions were asked, just accusing me and then telling me to leave without maybe asking why I feel that way. Quitter. That seems like a person who only does the bare minimum and avoids anything that involves effort and doesn't deserve to be in charge of anyone. I really wish I got her name but that all happened so fast.
The thing that makes me the most angry with the whole situation is that the only reason I was even there was to get my wife some food after she worked a 12 hour shift the night before and couldn't any sleep all day because she still had to watch our kids. And it was her food that Mark left out! I had to get her food from somewhere else after roughly a half hour of...
Read moreIf i could give this place 0 stars i would!!! I went to this establishment today and ordered a big order "60 tacos" it was my little girls birthday today. I tried to call before going and no one answered so i went down there the guy who took my order asked if "i was serious" & was completely rude i apologized about the order and let them know i could wait a little bit no rush.... a girl comes from making hamburgers and takes OFF her gloves and starts making my food....I repeatedly told/asked her to to put gloves on and was ignored i also told another 2 of her coworkers and was also ignored. This same girl thew the tacos through the warmer and some fell on the floor and the young employee wanted to put them in my bag...there was NO MANAGER there until they pretty much threw the bags on the counter as if they were offended.... then there was a MIRACLE a manager comes out of her office drinking her iced coffee i kindly waved my hand for her to talk to me and told her about the girl not using gloves and handling food and the manager responded with "SO?" I told her "that's unsanitary and disgusting" she said she guesses she'll talk to her and walks out front of the store to smoke her cigarette......there was no other manager on the floor and i can handle mistakes i can handle waiting but why would i want to handle employee's being completely out of order to me for ordering food when they are in the food business.....it's like i paid less than anyone else i deserve good service won't go back...
