Salsa's Grill — Restaurant in Mountain Home

I was staying at a local hotel so I ordered some Mexican food from Salsa's Grill because of the positive reviews. That was a big mistake. I ordered the Queso Fundido which was supposed to come with tortillas. The kitchen didn't put the tortillas in with the order. The Fundido is too rich to simply eat with a spoon. I also ordered the Burrito Leon. It was Really bad. The meat was Way overcooked and tough as shoe leather. Very dry, tasteless and down right rubbery. I asked for refried beans instead of rice. The beans were pretty good, but it is rather a fear to mess up refried beans. However, the beans had a kick, as if they had drizzle some jalapeno juice in the pot. It wasn't hot, but I do think that it should have been described in the menu as I don't like the flavor of jalapenos and would have ordered the rice instead. The thing that I didn't like about the beans was that they were just barely warm. The restaurant is just next door, so the time between the delivery driver getting to the restaurant and delivering it to my hotel door was less than 5 minutes. As the rest of the bad food was, at least, hot, the beans should have been also. I was hungry and looking forward to good as the reviews were so good. I ended up spending about $30 for unpalatable food. Don't waste your money, or fine in the restaurant itself so that you can send back bad food and demand that the entire order be delivered...

We had never been to Mountain Home , but we had a good time on our float trip on the beautiful Buffalo River! We got in town and looked for authentic Mexican with good Margs!! On out entrance to Salsas, we were greeted by a young lady that did not appear to enjoy her job, no smile , no hello…” Two? “. Picked up menus and began walking to back of restaurant. Leaving us behind. We just walked to the back room where she had already placed menus on a table and was walking back to the front, ok. Well people have bad days. Our waiter was GREAT.” D. J. “. He was very refreshing. So now we order drinks and food. Drink was ok. Food arrived about an hour later and was cold. I had a cheese enchilada and a tamale with rice. My husband had street tacos . All of the food was cold. Not even warm at all. My husband ate his because he said he didn’t mind the cold and he thought they were ok. My cheese enchilada was hard and tamale had very tough pork center. DJ noticed and came immediately to table. Took the cold food back and brought fresh , very warm food back. They food was ehhh. I believe there was string cheese wrapped in a tortilla for the enchiladas. Will not go back. But again …. Our waiter was awesome. Sorry the...

I have ate here several times and always hit or miss. Yesterday I went in with my family. Got seated quickly. Maybe 5 other table so not busy. Younger man took our drink order and disappeared. The young girl kept walking back and forth while me and another table said we were ready to order. Just just kept walking. Finally I went to find her sitting behind the greeting station on her phone. I told her that we were ready to order. Finally the young man came and took our order along with 2 other tables that had been waiting before us. Took forever to get our food and it was cold. I could see the employees over in the corner talking the whole time. I had to go get someone to fill up our chips. I went to pay without a ticket cause they was to busy talking. The girl taking payment was too busy taking pictures with her phone of another girl in a booth by the cash register. Had to ask her to please come take my payment cause I was tired of standing there. They food is cheap and you can tell by the way it taste. More people go there for the price...
