We held a Baby Shower and Men's Diaper Party over the weekend at the Yard at the Galleria Mall. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would! Over-the-top and exceeded all of our expectations!!! Absolutely amazing service, food, and coordination! First, our experience with the Operations Director Chuck and General Manager Sam were incredible! They were more accommodating than we could have ever imagined and also incredibly detailed, organized, and helpful! Second, the service of both parties was top notch and positive all around, as they really took care of every need and wish from our guests and families. The team of Justine, Natalie and Tony killed it! We would suggest they represent your restaurant for large parties and special occasions all of the time! The Yard servers and bartender made the environment/atmosphere of the parties fun, happy and special! Lastly, the food and buffet set-up was outstanding!!! The food was delicious, hot, and the array of condiments available for the brunch buffet was awesome. The labels of the food items were adorable and helpful for guests. The food truly could not have been any better and our guests all commented on and were talking about just how incredible everything tasted! Our daughter, who was the guest of honor is expecting our first grandchild and did not want salads, fruits and veggies - she wanted brunch items like French toast, waffles and cool grilled cheese sandwiches!!! Amazing and unique! The men really enjoyed their appetizers, too! The kitchen staff over-exceeded all expectations! We absolutely recommend this team and restaurant for any parties! Chuck and Sam, the servers, and cooks who executed our parties were awesome and we truly can't thank you all enough! As stated prior, I would give the Yard at the Galleria more than 5 stars if I could! I will hold parties there...
Read moreSo I was back in da burg after not less than seven years and was catching up with my best friend, I will just call him Kevin for the sake of this review because that is his name. We are cruising around and looking for something to eat. He suggests we stop by the Galleria, and I am like, "sure, why not?". We walk around for awhile and see what the options are and I see this place called "TheYard". Anyway, Kevin says the place is decent, he tells me they have "burgers and stuff".
We get seated immediately and start looking over the menu. Kevin asks if he could get one of the grilled cheeses made into a burger. The waitress informs us there is a whole other burger menu (lunch/brunch menu maybe?)... well this menu has much better looking burgers so ask for this menu!
The menu states that all the burgers are cooked though, which I am relieved to see. BURGERS/GROUND MEAT SHOULD NEVER BE PINK IN THE MIDDLE! E. coli O157 will mess you up and could kill you! I keep going to restaurants and getting pink bloody burgers and if I ask for it well done they just hand me a charcoal briquette.
I order some spicey burger with jalapeños and some amazing sauce, sadly I don't recall what it was called but it was hands down the best burger I've had in years. It was cooked through but not burnt and still juicy. The waffle fries are amazing as well, though you have to pay more for them :-( .
I still do not know why this place wasn't busier on a Friday night.
I don't recall the waitresses name but she was great as well. May she read this review and recall the conversation we had about irradiated beef and why not to eat...
Read moreBuffalo chicken dip was good. Rest of the food was sub par and we will not be back even though we have been here a few times. Myself and another diner at my table ordered the breakfast club, but my friend asked to have hers deconstructed and not stacked up. The restaurant was not able to accommodate this request and pushed back when we asked if it was because they’re pre-made and reheated, which they denied. They (a manager of some kind I suppose) said it’s their policy and could only charge us a la carte at a significant price increase for having them not stack it as a sandwich. The ridiculousness of the policy made my friend lose her appetite and when my breakfast club arrived not only was it very obvious someone could’ve deconstructed it if it weren’t a pre-made and reheated sandwich, but this was obvious since the pancake seemed not only stale but also had burn marks, the bacon was over done and charred, as were the home fries and the cheese had clearly been melted at one point, cooled and reheated based on the texture. So, you have an 80% empty restaurant located within a 50% vacant failing mall and they couldn’t honor the simplest customer request or admit the truth that the menu item in question reheated from Sysco when we originally asked if...
