This whole tipping thing is getting out of control! This is the first review I have ever left thatâs how annoyed I am. I will travel to other locations even though this location is the closest to me just to avoid the awkward encounter when you hand the employee your card and then they put your card in the card reader, hand the entire machine back to you letting you know that itâs going to ask you a couple âquestionsâ (option 1: $1 option 2: $2 option 3: other option 4: none) those questions are if you want to tip the employee and they are handing you this machine before any service has been performed. Iâm all for tipping at places where a waiting service is being performed but literally all they did was take my order and make me a coffee. Isnât that what they have an hourly wage for? I struggle with this bc I canât see whatâs going on behind that drive through window. If I donât tip what are they going to do to my coffee? Instant anxiety and fear if I donât pay them a tip for doing their hourly job. This is the first biggby where the employees hand you the card reading machine to ask you specifically if you will tip them. Itâs very awkward and weird. If I were to pay in cash, would you turn around and ask me to give you a dollar if I had cash instead of my card? Are these employees at this location not compensated fairly so they feel that they have to create this awkward experience to get you to tip them when they have done nothing more than their job? I seen another review on here about the tipping that goes on at this location. Hopefully the owner will see this and do something about it so that when their customer use this tiny drive thru location your customers will feel happy like they had a good experience and not awkward bc of this tipping culture. BTW the demeanor of the staff changes when they see that you donât tip them so anyone reading this if you go to this location be prepared to tip them at least a dollar so that the staff treat you better. However, if you bring cash, they might leave you alone and not ask you for a tip. Also, before the owner snaps back at me, and says that tipping is optional⌠No, itâs not! However, twice that I have been their recently, I was ordering at the speaker, and the lady was talking so quiet and I told her several times it was hard to hear her. I waited in line a long time. I get to the windowand this girl has piercings on our cheeks, and her nose, which is fine. But I sat there and watched her have gloves on her hand touch her face and then go make food.
