This was my first time dining here, and it was delicious! The restaurant was very clean in appearance, on the outside and inside. I enjoyed the cozy cabin feel, and I felt that it fit with the menu, service and overall vibe. I would strongly recommend making a reservation on holidays or weekends. We were unable to make a reservation for personal reasons. When we arrived, we were told the wait would be 1.5 hours for 2 people because there were so many reservations ahead of us. After about 35 minutes, we were the only ones waiting in the lobby and the manager apologized for the wait and diligently worked to get us seated as soon as possible. I was very pleased with the service provided by the manager and hostess to get us seated as soon as possible without a reservation. The menu has a wide variety of choices: seafood, steaks, sushi, etc. Prices were on the higher end, but the food quality made it worth it. For how busy they were, our food was served in a timely matter and our waitress, Logan, tended to our table regularly. Only a few things bothered me. One being the noise level. There was no music playing, but the noise level was so loud that it was difficult to have a conversation with my guest and our waitress. Another was the attire of the guests. I noticed on the door a sign posted that said something along the lines of "appropriate dress required." I witnessed guests wearing anywhere from dresses and heels, to pajama pants. Although it may seem inhospitable to turn away a guest because of their outfit, if you are going to post a sign about it, and then not follow through with it, it looks bad on the restaurants behalf. I ordered the Filet Mignon, and it was outstanding—tender, flavorful, and cooked to the perfect medium rare, exactly as requested. The sear on the outside locked in the juices, and each bite practically melted in my mouth. It’s clear that Redwood takes pride in its premium cuts and precise preparation. I paired the filet with a side of risotto, which was creamy, well-seasoned, and perfectly al dente. The combination made for a well-balanced, indulgent meal that exceeded expectations.

What really made the experience exceptional was our server, Deborah. She was warm, professional, and attentive without being overbearing. Her timing was perfect, her recommendations were spot on, and she genuinely made sure we felt welcome and cared for throughout the evening.

Redwood catering on Silver Lake Rd/Fenway could be the best small event venue around. The space is beautiful and can be decorated to be perfect for your small group event. However, the fact that her desk is in the middle of the event space was ridiculous, at best. I held my daughter’s baby shower there for 25 people. It was recommended by a friend/local business owner. Anyone who knows me, KNOWS I have a passion for supporting my local businesses/owners. Joan was less than friendly from the start. She told me there would be a $500 food minimum for the event which I agreed to. After confirming that I wanted the event located there, at the time SHE suggested; she told me there was NO WAY she could honor that fee…that SHE QUOTED ME. She then doubled the fee. I agreed to have the event there. Said I would be with my daughter and we would decide on food items. When I texted her to let her know I would have final selections that day; she told me she had CANCELLED MY DATE assuming I didn’t want to have it there…despite the last communication was that I would send her selections. She didn’t text. She didn’t call. She just TOOK ME OFF THE CALENDAR. thankfully I was still able to have the event there. I ended up sending 1000+ for a big salad, cold chicken, half ass charcuterie tray, 50 BEAUTIFUL huge, SHRIMP, and spinach dip.
