Elements Modern Kitchen & Cocktail — Restaurant in Mundy Charter Township

I purchased a $40 voucher for the place for $20, with an expiration date of 3 months after purchase. Lost track of time and voucher, to have it expire. Contacted miNBC Deals, where I purchased the voucher, to find out that the $20 used to purchase it was redeemable for 5 years.

I finally made an appearance yesterday (7/6) at J. Porter's to use the $20 that I paid for the voucher and was denied. I presented it to the waitress, who took it to the manager, who indicated that they would not honor it. I went and personally spoke to the manager, indicating that the value paid for the voucher should be honored. He disagreed, took it to the general manager of the establishment, who indicated that, since the voucher was expired, none of it would be honored. The only thing that he was willing to do was to give me 25% off my visit, which was unacceptable to me.

After calmly attempting to explain the scenario, wasting time and energy, to be embarrassed by the establishment, I requested my money back from miNBC Deals, so that I don't have to do business with them ever again. It was obvious to me that they don't care for my business at all. The place was empty at around 5pm and now I know why.

This place is seriously confused about what it wants to be. They're clearly trying to present themselves as a fine dining establishment — fancy menus, inflated prices, and all — but in reality, it doesn’t match the area or the experience. The vibe, the service, and the quality of the food don’t justify the upscale pricing.

Alcohol prices are ridiculous. Basic drinks are marked up like you're in a high-end downtown club, not a neighborhood spot. Over $10 for a weak cocktail and overpriced domestic beers? Come on.

Let’s be real — based on the location and crowd, this place would do way better as a casual dining spot, dive bar, or even a sports bar. Instead, they’re trying to be something they’re not, and the customers are paying the price...

I will say that I have never left a review with a restaurant before, but after the dining experience that my wife and I had we both agreed we would leave one. We went there for the Valentine dinner for two and we were absolutely satisfied with the quality, the presentation, and the taste of our meals everything was served hot and cooked to perfection. The flavors that the chef prepared for each of our meals were amazing. Every course we had was perfectly paired with the wine that they suggested as well.
