I don't frequent this McD's often, but today's trip was the second in a row that has been much less satisfying than I am sure the McDonalds franchise drives there locations to be. I ordered a quarter pounder with cheese meal without onions. A minute or 2 I am to the pickup window. I get my drink then I sit for a few more minutes and then I am asked to pull to a space because it is the new "fresh" beef quarter ponder and it will be a few more minutes. So I pull up and wait, and wait, and wait. After another 6 minutes waiting in the spot (10 min. from start of order) I'm frustrated and go inside. There is a line inside so it is a few minutes before I get to the front of the line. I tell them how long I've been waiting and the manager who is expediting, turns to the drive through person and barks, "do you have an order on hold? You have to tell me if you have an order on hold". Now, the whole time I was stewing waiting in line, I can see that on the screen right in front of the manager my order with a hold on it. So she starts my burger. So after 19 minutes I receive my order, an apology from the manager and she wrote on my receipt to give me a free meal. The apology also should have gone to the drive through team member who she tried to direct blame to because she was embarrassed. I am a retail manager and understand things go wrong and people make mistakes, heavens knows I've been there. But for the manager to try to make it out that it was one of her team that made the mistake to deflect from her mistake is a cardinal sin as a leader of a team. Own your mistakes and learn from them don't blame others or you will demoralize your team and never improve your self. Based on this, with a leader like this in the building I am not surprised that this is the second time I've had a problem at this location. It's not too late. Manager, read this and let it soak in and own YOUR mistake. Get better for it and your team and all of your customers will be better...
Read moreMcDonald's is probably the easiest place in the world to buy food. So I go there much more often than I should. Besides for me having bad dining habits, this was a pleasant experience. Every 8 years or so McDonald's tries to correct the disaster that goes by the title "CHICKEN NUGGETS". The Nuggets Saga started off with tasty morsels of hot, fresh chicken. It normally gets the white glove treatment for a while along with a big marketing campaign promising a NEW & IMPROVED product, but shortly thereafter it's seems that everyone who works there and in the Nugg supply chain forgets about quality. Now seems to be an unadvertised REFRESH and RETHINKING of the product. They are hotter, fresher, crunchier, lighter tasting buttery morsels right now. The white meat claim is not being made, but they are the best tasting that they have been for a really long...
Read moreThis is probably the best McDonald’s I’ve been to. I pulled up at 10:59 because I’m not from around here and didn’t realize they closed at 11. And the girl taking or orders/at the window was easily the sweetest person ever. She still took my order and then when I got to the window, I wanted to pay cash and the rest of card (my total was about $5.60 something) and I handed her the $5 and said can I do the rest on card and she said “Oh I’ll just take the sweet tea off for you.” So I got a free sweet tea because of her. And then when she handed me my food, she said “I gave you some fries too.” (I didn’t order fries). When I looked in the bag, she had given me a large & medium fry. Anyway, great customer service from at least what I got to experience. This girl deserves a raise because she...
