I used the Popeyes mobile app to order food on March 22nd from the Murfreesboro Popeyes store.
I waited for delivery and it never came. So then, I tried calling Popeyes Murfreesboro store - which I had to call about 15 times back to back and never did get an answer. So I thought maybe the store was closed. So I drove to the local store, at 724 Memorial Blvd, Murfreesboro, TN. I spoke with the manager about the fact that my delivery never made it. First off, she was extremely unapologetic and just said that if we ordered thru the Popeyes app and there is an issue with the delivery, then there is nothing they can do about it. When I asked what the recourse was for being able to get my money back or get the food, she said there was nothing they could do because they could not prove that my order came in, even though I showed them my mobile receipt thru the Popeyes app.The manager said that there is no way for them to see the order and so they could not replace or refund the order. I spent $40 on my food and couldn't just expect to allow that loss. Then the manager proceeded to say that this happens all the time for people who use the Popeyes mobile app when ordering and said we needed to always use the drive-thru. Once the manager felt there was nothing more than she was going to do, she turned away and walked back into the store ultimately dismissing me with no regard.
I was not given my food and I was not given my money back. With the knowledge that the app doesn't work for many of their customers and they are just telling them too bad for their loss, then that is a rip-off. Saying there is nothing they can do.
My total was $40.60 which included a tip for the driver who never delivered my order. I know that I am not the only person who they are running this scam on, because they said that this happens all the time with the mobile app and that they use 3rd party vendors such as grubhub, uber eats, etc, and that they did not follow up with these providers after the food leaves their store. So they are taking no responsibility for claiming they received the order at the store, or that the order was fulfilled...
Read moreThe service is horrible. Almost every time I have gone, they leave something out of my bag that I actually paid for. Twice my chicken wings have been brown as if they were old pieces of chicken. The biscuits have always been great, thank God they didn’t mess that up. It’s annoying to have to constantly repeat my order then have to worry if I was going to still get my biscuit there was a 5 min wait on. I was told the chicken sandwiches will be back 11/23 by a male employee. I’m call the corporate office. Instead of standing around waiting for some men to pull up in a nice car, how about fix some fresh chicken. Either somebody’s have a problem with taking orders with memory or it’s simply scamming and robbing people out of their money. When you charge someone for something and don’t give it to them and keep their money that’s robbing. Let me come back and it happens again, I’m taking names to the police station and pressing charges for robbery. People work hard for their money on legal jobs and they playing with their food and money. Ugh 😫 What saddens me is the ones that’s doing the same as I am an African American. The wait times is awful, the customer service is awful, just having to place a order is all around awful.
Went again yesterday. 5/17/2022 Someone who stated she is the manager is overly rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. They never get the order correct. Will fraudently keep your money, get your order incorrect, and lack proper communication skills when trying to get them to correct the issue. She told me, girl, bye and hung the phone up0 in my face. I contacted customer service, and while on the line with customer service, the phone was hung up in my front as customer service stood by on another line. Also, I have contacted the Better Business Bureau regarding the multiple complaints at this location. Read moreI went through the drive-thru today for lunch to get the new chicken sandwich. The restaurant was out and probably would not have it back in stock until Thursday. There were several cars ahead of me in the drive-thru. When they saw the sign advising the chicken sandwich wad not available they drove off. The person taking my order and the person handing my order out to me were very polite and answered all my questions. This was the best part of my visit. I ordered two Buttermilk Chicken Tenders/Surf combos and one large Cajun Rice. There was only two chicken tenders per box which were over cooked. Should have been three tenders. The tenders were dried out and had no moisture in them at all. The tenders did not look like the menu board or the TV commercial. The biscuits could have been used for a hockey puck. The biscuits were tiny and were not fluffy. The dough had been over worked which created the hard hockey puck texture. The Cajun Rice was nasty and gummy. After driving across town for lunch we were completely disappointed in the lack of quality in the food. I could not return back to the restaurant at that time. Several attempts were made to reach the manager by phone. No one answered the phone at the restaurant. I left a voice mail requesting a call back to discuss my experience. I have not received a call from the management team. I would not recommend the Popeyes location off of Memorial Drive in Murfreesboro, TN. This was my first visit to Popeyes in a couple of years.
