Golden Chick — Restaurant in Murphy

We were here on July 12th. This Golden Chick is usually pretty good. The chicken tenders often vary in size. Sometimes all are normal sized while other times they are a mix of normal size and deformed nugget pieces. The batter consistency varies too. Sometimes nice and a little crispy while other times the entire tender is mostly crunchy batter with some chicken inside. Prior to COVID-19 we would dine in and depending on the crew the dining area was freezing cold, other times it was just cold. Their green beans are ok. They put way too many bacon bits in the mix and it overpowers and ruins the flavor. I love bacon, but the stuff they add is not great. Their french fries are usually pretty good. The instant mashed potatoes are ok at best. They should make real mashed potatoes. The cole slaw is ok. It could use a flavor boost. The soft serve ice cream machine seems like it is never working. I normally do not write reviews, but the total disregard for me as a customer was really low. Waiting in the drive through line I had time to make the coin change and paid $20.62 on an $8.62 bill. I got back $7. and it seemed to inconvenient the teller asking for my other $5. I also had to ask to get my drink and was asked, "Didn't you already get your drink?" Wow, some serious short term memory issues occurring here. Ok, I can move on from that. I decide to take advantage of the nice day and eat my lunch outside. There were no utensils for the macaroni and cheese, which they normally pack. It wouldn't have done much good , because just maybe there was enough pasta for 1& 1 /2 spoonfuls. My family and I ordered an 8 pc chicken with a dozen rolls, family size macaroni and mashed potato. Our server, Jasmine I believe, was very rude while I ordered and when I asked about the price of 8pc. She commented rudely, "isn't the price on their?" When I pulled up to get ordered items and asked for a breakdown, she was also talking in a rude tone. After she handed me my order, I asked for my receipt and she said it is at the bottom of the plastic bag. At that point, I made a suggestion that next time she hands me the receipt after she swipes my credit card or ask whether I want it in the bag or with me.
