I have always liked this place and I've always liked their food and my family and I are regulars here. What happened today was extremely frustrating. I don't know if they were trying to make a point but I called in an order to go and all I said was to please make sure all the settings were there for our nachos and to please place them on the side because I've had my order wrong multiple times. I'm always nice about it and they always make sure they take care of me for it. But at the end of the day when my wife and I want to eat our dinner, we don't want to have to call or go back after our food is cold to get the order right. Which is why I said over the phone that I was going to check everything before I left and I said it very kindly and very respectfully. Upon arrival I have all the items placed out before me and one of the ladies begins to tell me all the nice extra things they added for me. But on the following order there's going to be an up charge for everything including the containers so that my nachos aren't soggy by the time I get home. Okay fair enough. I have no problem paying more money for whatever is up charged and I have never for whatever is up charged and I have never complained about paying for anything. But I simply said I don't need anything to be complimentary or any favors or freebies here. All I wanted was my orders to be right. I also told her I have no problem paying for any upchargers or anything that is owed. We are not complainers and we are not people that look for anything free when it comes to our food and our local restaurant, especially that we enjoy so much. But here's the problem and this is why I'm writing this review. This lady asked if I thought they owed me a free meal. I told her I wasn't sure but that I wasn't worried about it because it's happened numerous times and I didn't remember. She said well I can go speak to the owner I said. Don't worry about it. She then walks away and I literally bagged all of my food at the bar on my own. The thing is she was acting kind but to me it was very condescending and insulting and I'm confused on whether she was trying to be nice or trying to make a spectacle out of me for one simple request to please make sure that all of my side items for my nachos are present because of how many times they have forgotten, one thing or the other. But for them to sit there and watch me bag all of my items and for me to have to ask for two more bags is very embarrassing and poor service. I got a suggestion for you guys. If you don't want to put your settings on the side of your nachos then don't let people order nachos to go because nobody wants soggy nachos. But more than anything we are nice people and we are not people who complain But you know what we understand there are people like that. But if someone says, can you please make sure that everything is there. There is absolutely no reason to be defensive Or even feel like you have to give us all these extra things and say. But next time it's going to cost you. This was never about price. This was about getting things right. And seriously don't make your customers bag their own food just because you're frustrated. No one wants anything free here and the gentleman and everyone there has always been very nice and like I said taken care of it. So don't ask a customer if you want them to go talk to the owner that's insulting. If something's wrong just get it right and fix it. Don't insult your customers. Read moreI used to work in Fate, Texas, and used to go to the La Flor there ALL the time...sometimes 2 to 3 times a week because it was just that good, and fast. Our office moved to Wylie several months ago so I've really missed it. I noticed today there was a La Flor in Murphy and was excited to go in and get some familiar favorites. My usual, 2 fajita beef tacos on corn tortillas with a side of guacamole and chips. The first thing I noticed was that the price was 50% higher. I mentioned it to the waitress who was quick to tell me the price was higher because the tacos were bigger. Okay, no big deal...next time I'd just get one taco with my guacamole if they were bigger, right? Wrong. The tacos at the Fate location always had two tortillas on each taco, but these only had one and they were the exact same size. And okay, that wouldn't have been a big deal I guess, Murphy's location is a restaurant where Fate's location is just a small taqueria so I could maybe understand the price difference...if it's good it's good, right? Wrong again. Not only were they the same size, the meat was cooked so long that it was hard as a rock. It appeared as if it wasn't cooked fresh as you ordered (like the familiar Fate location) but maybe reheated as you ordered.... Read moreFrom the moment I walked in and the hostess rolls her eyes because I ask for a booth where it is cooler. Tosses the menu and silverware roll on the table and walks off. Server comes takes my order and brings my tea and forgets my water. I ask two different servers and finally ask the same server again and finally get water. No one comes and checks on me to see how my food is or if I need anything! No one comes at all. I finish my food and I ask for my tea to go and the server takes my tea and never comes back! I finally ask the bartender for my check and my tea to go and he apologized and brings my check and then the server who took my tea came by and asked me if I had sweet tea!!!! SERIOUSLY!!! You take my tea and then come back and ask me what kind of tea I had. The whole experience was horrible!! They have the best food there is but their service is truly the worse I have ever had!! You need to replace your hostess and servers and get people in there that actually want to work and wait on tables and smile and be friendly and act like you want to be...
