I had not been to Schlotzsky's in many years but use to love their sandwiches. The bread was amazing and I loves that the meats and melted cheese. Fast forward. We moved and never saw a Schlotzsky's close to our home. For some reason I thought about finding a location last night. I had to drive a bit but figured it was worth the drive. We were tired and hungry. Order total $32 for 2 sandwiches 2 cinnamon rolls and 2 chips. #1. That's ridiculous but blamed it on the economy. So ok. Got home with 2 HUGE sandwiches. The bread...OMG what have they done to the bread? It was horrible. It was like trying to wat a sandwich on an entire THICK pan of cornbread. It was cold and very dry not fresh. There was no sauce as far as we could tell in the sandwiches at all. I'm not blaming this location...yet as I found out thar the "Original Schlotzsky's was bought out. I guess they made changes to the quality of the food and bread. Huge mistake. I was telling some of my friends about it at lunch today and they all already knew the "new Schlotzsky's" was horrible. The young lady that waited on me did say āhow may I help youā but no eye contact through the entire order. I asked how her day was going and she said fine. All of this is fine. Many young people donāt know how to provide good customer service unless they are taught. She took my order and I paid. Shortly after, I realized that she had rung up the wrong sandwich. I was able to get a hold of her because she was in the back working and she rang up the correct order. There was no āIām sorry that that happenedā not a big deal. Mistakes happen. The correct sandwich rung up $.75 cheaper. She did not indicate she was planning on refunding the $.75. Not a lot of money, but it is the principle of it. I had to ask for it. Again, no eye contact and no apology. She went and got a key opened the register and gave me the refund without a word. I will come back because the food is good, but the customer service does need...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOrdered to go and receive half our order. Called store and young female that answered was super rude and tried to flip it on us because we said we would comeback for the missing food. She proceeded to tell us there was nothing she could do about it even though we had the receipt. We asked her to make the items and we would come pick it up and she again refused and said it wasnāt her problem and they closed in 15 minutes.
So an honest mistake has turned into upset customers and a bad review because of bad customer service and experience. Still canāt believe how disrespectful this young person was on the phone. As a person with a CS background for many moons this person need CS training. Better service would have been āIām so sorry that happenedā. I can make the missing order but we close in 15 minutes.
