Pretty cool place to get a quick bite from the beach. However they sometimes cook their burgers way down on the grill to almost nothing. Either one this is because there's a lot of fat in them. Or they're kind of small to start with. I think what it was that day the person that had made the hand patties did not allocate enough meat for each hamburger patty. Hot dogs are really awesome here as well as the chicken sandwich. They are totally known also for the bologna sandwiches. Maybe they just need to tweak their burgers to be a little bit bigger as far as the patty. They got mad at me one day when they grilled them like paper thin and tried to pass it off as a double. I called them on it and they weren't too happy. However they did redo it despite some argument from the grill guy. In his words they have to cook it down to paper thin that's the way they do things. Through the years I have visited this really nice located establishment a great deal of times. For some reason I have noticed the burgers keep shrinking. However the hot dogs and the chicken sandwiches remain the same. And of course their the grilled bologna sandwich. And what everybody really likes is they have ice cream available here that is reasonable. Not a bad stop. Just hope they go back to the size of burger that used to produce that made them famous. Just hand patty a little bit more meat because it is cooking down a lot more. Because I know I will be back. Love your location. And I am a diners and dives...

I was wondering how Donald Trump would review this place. Here's an attempt:

This restaurant, folks, I've got to tell you, it's something else, really. Highly recommended, okay? A family friend, good people, they came to me and they said, "You've got to try this place." And you know what? They were right, they really were. Now, you look at it from the outside, maybe it's not the flashiest, but don't let appearances fool you, believe me. Without that friend, I might've just kept on going, no doubt about it.

Now, for all you burger enthusiasts out there, and we've got a lot of them, let me tell you, they've got something that's like nothing you've ever seen before. Smashburgers, that's what they call them. Thin patties, really thin, and let me tell you, they're done just right. The taste, folks, it's something you won't forget. I mean, no one's ever seen anything like this before, believe me. And keep in mind, it's not a big place, but it's making a big statement.

And prices? Well, let me put it this way, they're more than fair, very fair. Right there in Myrtle Beach, right where all the action is. It's a real gem, let me tell you.

So, in the end, folks, this restaurant, it's one for the books. That recommendation, those smashburgers that no one's ever seen before, and that prime location, it's a triple threat. You've got to give it a shot, you really do. Thank you very much,...

We want to like Burky's but the consistency isn't ever there. My hot dog yesterday had almost no chili sauce and tasted awful. The week before it was very good the chili made the hot dog. The fries are always under fried and soggy with no taste. The drive through mic doesn't work and you can't hear the order so guess what? Something is always wrong on the order. Change your fries for Gods sake they are soggy and bland. Get your chili recipe down its been a moving target for years. The paper straw "seriously". We find ourselves going to Hamburger Joes over Burky's even with the wait because, its consistent NO soggy fries and the chili is spot on every time. Step your game up a notch. You have many good reviews but its out of loyalty and complacency. I have eaten at Burky's many of times and frankly its out of convenience. The tell tail sign is how clean is the place and Burky's is always filthy looking inside. I will help/advise you for free. I was an owner operator, food critic and Restaurant consultant for many very successful years. Restaurant Business is hard, serving good food with consistency...

No asking “where’s the beef” here. Counter serve 50’s style diner serving a variety of burgers, dogs, sandwiches, baked potatoes, salads and soft serve ice cream. No name needed when you ordered because soon after someone behind the counter will bark “ORDER UP!” That will be you cue to fetch your meal and soon be seated in the raised, open dining area with retro, flashback Formica dinette table and chairs. My double cheeseburger came with two oversized, hand patty burgers nicely grilled with crispy edges and the fixings of lettuce, pickles, cheese and condiments. Combo comes with a soda and a shareable serving of hot, seasoned fries. Prices are reasonable and don’t worry about cleaning up as they take care of that. Take it from me I asked. Trash receptacle is located just inside the kitchen doorway.

We are from the Midwest and came to Myrtle Beach for vacation. Today we were in the mood for a hamburger & fries. When searching, we found this restaurant on Google and it mentioned 50's theme. We always use reviews to determine anything we do. Google gave this a 4.6 rating so we gave it a shot. We were disappointed with the "50's theme", there was a black hair on my mother's tray but wasn't noticed until after eating (was covered by the hamburger wrapper), the staff were not friendly, and as we were leaving we noticed most of the tables were dirty. However the food did taste good. To the owner: if you want a true 50's theme restaurant, you may want to do more decorating. Music and a few pictures don't make the cut.

Great dogs, great burgers and an unexpected bonus -- Cincinnati Chili. I ordered a hot dog with chili, mustard, onions and slaw. That should pinpoint my state pretty easily. (North Carolina) The hot dog was flavorful and juicy; the chili was outstanding. The weakest link was the slaw. A little coarse for a hot dog topping, and I suspect it may have been purchased in a plastic tub. The mustard, onions and chili helped it along. Our fries were hot and crisp, and the Cincinnati Chili was very good. I ordered the chili bowl three way and added beans and onions. It came with a packet of Texas Pete hot sauce - a nice touch. Our food came out hot and fast, and it was a very satisfying lunch.
