Got here and wanted a beer and food. Used to be one of my favorite places. The beer and food were generally consistently good. The service is always great. Except tonight. Can’t speak for the food yet. The hostess wouldn’t even let us sit in the bar area. Told us it would be a 20 to 30 minute wait, and we stood here and watched a row of empty tables while I drink my beer biding my time to get seated so I can order my meal and another beer. (Did I mention the bartender allowed me to buy a beer at least? Thank you Cary the awesome bartender) Just watched a lady walk in and sit in a bar side booth we were refused access to.
Can’t wait to chat with the manager.
Round two in my play by play. Saw another lady walk in and cozy up to a booth past all of us waiting on the hostess to choose from an endless pile of tables to seat us…
Round Three - yaaay we got a seat. Fortunately we got Lauren as our server in the bar area booth. Able to get bar side street ribs as an appetizer. Celebrate!!!!!
A party of 6 just walked in off the street and filled up the six top and another awesome server just rolled her eyes and brought them menus.
Conclusions: how do I give 2 stars when the rest of the experience is great!? I mean, Lauren is fantastic. Yes there is a slow kitchen tonight. But the food is a level up. The beer is as I expected. Great. Cary helped me enjoy a beer while looking at empty tables that never filled up. It is because I sat on the window seat drinking my beer far for more than the 30 minutes watching those empty tables for the hostess to feel the power of her job.
This is sad because this place could be so much better. Where are you #GordonRamsey? We need you.
Lastly a follow up. I’m still sitting here enjoying my beer and already ate my share of the ribs. But I am content. As any other customer would be when they have beer and a great waitress and bartender doing their best. If only we had that sooner.
Signing off before my actual food gets here. But I am - wait… the food got here before I could finish. The kitchen is not as slow as warned. Still confused. We are only a party of two did I mention?
Thank you to Lauren and Cary
Edit: had the Fish and Chips - brilliant! As always
After sitting here at the table 15 minutes - the place is empty. 8:15 on seems the...
Read moreRecently moved to this area and wanted to take family out during their stay for a nice lunch. They had very few beers to offer even though the name “brewery” is in their title. Their own beer was even out so my son in-law settled with a Stella. They were out of several food items only the waitress didn’t announce this from the start instead, we kept trying to order new items and were told “we’re also out of that.” I placed my order after inquiring about this particular dish and was told several minutes later that that was “also out.” No big deal however, it would have been nice if the waitress had that knowledge to share from the start. The food came and I bit into something sharp that thankfully didn’t cut me- it looked like a piece of broken ceramic. My daughter’s food had some lobster shells in it as well so at this point we were both turned off. My brother asked for his taco sauce on the side and instead it was poured all over the top. We spoke to the waitress about this unidentified object in my food and our experience this far. She took it to the kitchen and never returned. The manager came out some time later and apologized but meanwhile, no one thought to grab my dish to investigate further. We nicely gave the manager some constructive feedback as several of my family members work in food service. She left and we continued to wait for someone to come back. The manager did deduct both meals and offered dessert but at this point, we had been there over 1 1/2 hrs waiting and didn’t really have the appetite to try any more food from this place so we left. Maybe it was a bad day but I would proceed with caution and ask questions before you order. The first red flag should have been a brewery...
Read moreI love this place! Everytime my wife and I are in Myrtle Beach this the first restaurant we come to... I mean EVERYTIME. This is a brewery however in in my opinion this is just a really good restaurant that serves amazing drinks but happens to make their own beer.
They have the best happy hour I've ever seen. It's so simple yet so brilliant. $3 Beers (every beer on the menu) $4 wine (2 to choose from) and $5 cocktails (every cocktail on the menu) from 4pm to 7pm EVERYDAY. They also have have wings and appetizers on the app hour menu as well. I loved it so much that when I went to New Orleans on business and saw that they had a location I opted to pass on the delicious Cajun food for one night. Everything I've had here it's just been awesome!
Tonight my wife and I try something new as an appetizer and it was awesome. When you come here you have to try their garlic fries. They say they're legendary for a reason! Tip: Dip em in their freshly prepared ranch dressing. Next level: Dip em in both ranch and ketchup. Mind = BLOWN!
Tonight I got the Marzen wings (their version of Thai chilli made with their house brewed Marzen beer. What did I dip em in!? You guessed it! The freshly prepared house ranch dressing! #Delish. I love the fact that the fries come into denominations; large and regular where you can get either 10 or 5 wings. I also got a steak taco. I love the fact that you can order an individual one or a full order of three. Since I wasn't that hungry I only got one. Also delicious. If you're not one for spice I recommend to getting the sriracha sauce on the side but don't get it without it. It's a match made in heaven.
Side Note: The entire staff is great but the manager...
