Lack luster response below indicates they think they are in the good doing this to customers! This seems to be a restaurant who take advantage of customers- SERIOUSLY disliked their attitude to the customers and their pushy. I asked for the kids size and she literally refused to make it for me told me "nah that's just for kids and you get a choose your own bowl." I'm like no I really want just the kids bowl size with smaller size portions, she refuse again- pick up the big bowl to begin it and looked at me. No base salad/green mix... they charged me $20 for 1 scoop of beans, 1 scoop of rice, 1 half avocado and 1 scoop chicken with 8 chips. Upon paying she says ooh you got a Taco bowl basically - I'll just charge you for that- well I didn't agree because there no base, no tomatoes, no corn, no dressing... then She gave me the option to do the pay for what you choose on your own bowl charging me a start price of $11.99 then plus plus plus the toppings a la carte and it didn't even have any salad base in it so what was the $11.99 for anyway the bowl?? You can't eat it. The other option was to pay for a taco bowl which I didn't get at the $15.99 plus tax. So I took that option. Either way it was gonna be $20 and in my opinion she absolutely forced food on me I didn't want And charged me for food I didn't get and for the portion sizes that I didn't want. Then when I expressed to her that the kids size was about portion and that this was more then I wanted that most places don't give you a hard time nor do they know who your ordering for on take out. She came back at me with those are for kids. I said you don't know who this was for. She said ooh you said it's for you. Well even if I'm taking it to a kid after school in the next hour- yes it's for me in the moment when I'm ordering it. This was the most ridiculous lunch and ordering experience I've had in a while and it's terrible when you walk out feeling so disgruntled about lunch you don't even want to look at the to go bag. They need to know, it don't matter if your food is good if you're attitude is crap to your guests toy get 1 star. I work really close by and could choose to eat there multiple times but because of this- WILL NOT! And if they do math they would know that having happy customers that eat there regularly generates more revenue then one who only eats there once and is so turned off by the experience they won't go back! Or tell anyone else to either. ...

$5 cup of lemonade that I ordered with 2 salads. What I asked for was little to no ice so the counter representative gave me a cup only 3/4 full with lemonade so I asked him “can you fill that up” since I paid $5 for a full cup?

He told me, “No because we measure out our lemonade portions” so in other words you just admitted to me that you basically deceive and lie to people because you fill a 16 ounce cup full of ice and then pour only 12 oz of lemonade in that cup for $5?!

When a customer pays for a full glass of lemonade and you advertise a full glass of lemonade for $5 that’s what you are supposed to serve a full cup! It is the customers choice whether they want ice or not but if a customer is paying for a full cup they are supposed to get it, not a response of we are giving you 3/4 of a cup because you don’t want ice and that is our portion, are you kidding me ????!!!!

That is NOT good customer service it is DECEIT and GREED.

I was a steady customer of this place and spent at least $600 here over the past 6 months but will not patronize this place anymore because of their DECEIT & GREED and also them possibly breaking the law by charging automatic tip on customers total takeout order check even when the customer does not consent to the charge.

This cafe automatically charges customers 12% tip/service charge even on takeout orders even when you tell them you don’t want to tip on takeout orders as it’s the business owners responsibility to pay their employees for take out service behind the customer service counter NOT the customers, I have to question the legality of them even doing that and will reach out to my lawyer as well as consumer affairs.

UPDATE: Your response to my review is also a total lie and bull because asking for “no ice” in a drink does not “change your recipe” in any way other than presenting it in its “truest and most pure form of itself” if anything adding ice is diluting “your recipe” and watering it down from its purest form. Anyone that is intelligent will agree.

Stop lying to try to get your way and start listening to your customers and make them happy, it’s not to difficult to give someone a full glass of product with no ice if they ask for it.

Ever heard that good ol’ USA slogan? “The customer is...

I usually would not post a review but unfortunately had no choice the staff was not very friendly no smiles just blank faces no welcome when you walk in just what can I get you and with as nice of establishment and a business owner I would expect better from my employees. I do like that all the stuff is local I believe supporting local businesses is key in this economy vs the corporations. Although the prices they charge here are a little extreme for a bowl of it very little chicken and some greens an sauce and fresh juice they press the everyday I’m assuming in a small bottle for drink it came to be almost 30 dollars now I paid it and went on about my way but I think this will be the last time I come here based off my experience the guy behind the counter also gave me attitude when I asked about the prices almost as if I was below him for not wanting to pay such a hefty price when that wasn’t the issue I just wanted to actually make sure I wasn’t paying for something unnecessary or if I could save at all I don’t mind paying prices when it’s worth it but in my eyes a 30 dollar lunch salad with protein and a drink shouldn’t cost 30 bucks mind you they also charge a service feee almost as a tip included for the bad attitude and non smiling welcoming faces they put on from the moment you walk in . This place will thrive I’m sure either way of this review or any other bad reviews it gets all dk to the area it’s in is very high end and seems to have a good atmosphere along with fresh ingredients. I don’t want to shame a business when it’s the employees that ruined my experience more than anything I feel for the owner but your staff needs some serious customer service training or you need to hire new employees it’s unfortunate to say the least I don’t want to cost someone their jobs but in this scenario they are costing...

Nestled in the center of charming Market Common you'll find Zardin. From the moment you step inside, you are enveloped in an atmosphere that is beautiful and creative with a clean aesthetic.
