I’m really sad! I just moved to the area and The Jalapeño Tree is my favorite restaurant. I was so excited that there was a location near us! The staff that set us were friendly and we got our drinks quickly as well, but it took 20 minutes and asking for chips twice before we finally got them. We watched 4 other groups who set down after us get them but we didn’t. Everyone’s order was wrong when it came out. My son had a hard shell taco with lettuce, tomatoes and cheese only, no meat and of course it had meat on it. We sent it back and it came out with meat on it again. They didn’t get it right twice! Plus he had the kids meal and we asked for the cheese taco but when we got the receipt they charged us the kids meal price of $6.00 and then charged us .49 cents each for cheese, lettuce and tomato. He didn’t get any sides so we basically paid $7.50 for one hard shell taco with no meat! I ordered the Bob Hope and asked for the 3 items to have the tequila cream sauce on all 3 and they didn’t even put it on one item. I also asked for charro beans instead of refried beans and I never got them either. My husband ordered a fajita burrito with both chicken and beef but it only had beef, no chicken! When we told the server who brought our food out she sighed really loudly and said we would have to tell our waitress. Our waitress was very busy and we had a hard time getting her attention. We asked for guacamole 3 times for my son but he never got it! When we tried to make the best of our family dinner we also asked for a refill and that never happened either. We waited for our receipt for 30 minutes even though we asked for it four times. So we paid almost $50 for a dinner that was not what we wanted. We saw the manager walking around and talking to other tables but never came to ours even though we asked for him close to the end! I left the restaurant really sad and disappointed that my favorite restaurant screwed...
Read moreIsaiah Ramirez turned a frustrating experience into an exceptional one.
The issue was entirely on Uber Eats, not Jalapeño Tree’s fault. When Uber Eats messed up our order, Isaiah stepped in, guiding us through the refund process on the uber eats app with patience and professionalism. He then went above and beyond to help us place a replacement order, ensuring everything was resolved smoothly.
What stood out most was Isaiah taking full responsibility for a problem that wasn’t his to fix. He didn’t have to step up, but he did, and his actions left a lasting impression. His empathy, initiative, and dedication to customer satisfaction are truly commendable.
As a manager myself, I recognize a natural leader when I see one. Isaiah deserves more than just a shoutout—he’s earned a raise or promotion. He embodies the Jalapeño Tree brand perfectly and is exactly the kind of person you want representing your business. His ability to take ownership and deliver exceptional service makes him a standout. I hope you take this review seriously. Isaiah’s leadership and care for your customers are qualities that deserve recognition and greater responsibility. Thank you for having such an outstanding...
Read moreOur family of three walked in and the first thing we saw (and smelled) was tortillas being hand made. The station was right behind the host stand so, it was eye catching.
Our waitress was Breanna (Bree) she was super friendly, good with our two year old, and fast with our order. My husband ordered a margarita and she was experienced enough to get him a water without him asking.
Let's talk about food now. Because, really this place needs a spot light on there chips and salsa. They're NOT shrimpy. My family of three got 3 reds and 3 greens without asking. Yum!
I attached some pictures of our food. I got the Elvis Presley and substituted my taco for a flauta. My husband got the Tex-Ritter. His only small complaint was the food menu doesn't tell you which sauces comes with what enchilada (so, if you're picky -which he's not- make sure to specify what sauce you want on your food. They have a sauce list in the bottom of their menu) He REALLY loved his tamale. My daughter got fries because she is oh-so-adventurous.
The portions were HUGE. We took ours home and had enough for...
