Lost Colony Brewery Nags Head Waterfront — Restaurant in Nags Head

Lost Colony Waterfront is my favorite bar & pub! Dirt makes everyone feel welcome. There are no strangers at the pub because of the fun, friendly atmosphere he creates. Dirt genuinely cares about everyone who walks in the door & his smile & laugh can turn around even the dreariest of days. I never felt like I had a bar or a pub that was "mine" until Lost Colony. Whether you're celebrating a win in life or just taking a break & relaxing with friends or family it's awesome to spend time there. The water views are spectacular & it offers indoor & outdoor seating so there's always an option no matter the weather. The beer is fantastic. I'm not even typically a "beer" girl but Lost Colony's brews are top notch. My fave is the Hatteras Irish Red but everything I've ever tried there is good. It's also located near a pizza shop and a cafe so there's always something to pair with your beer. You also have to check out the gift shop. Lost Colony's apparel, mugs, and glasses are great. They have the best branding & logos. 5 out of 5 stars...

I’m from out of town and travel for work. Whenever I arrive somewhere new the first thing I seek out is the brewery scene.

I’ve been around half the country and to hundreds of breweries. I’ll tell you..Dirt the beer tender was one of the best I’ve ever met. The moment I walked in the door for the first time he immediately made me feel like I was a local who had been going there for years. He involved everyone inside who came in. The place was packed but I never had an empty glass. The beer was incredibly good. I drank beer I would normally not like (like red) but mixed with the blonde..it became my new favorite.

I always say, when you’re having a bad time you go to a bar if you want to remember, you go to a brewery if you want to forget. I had an amazing time. My only complaint is even though I’ll be in NC for three months for work I’ll be five hours away..however, I mean this, I plan on making the drive once or twice a month just to come back here to drink and hang out with Dirt and the crowd....

Went over to the pizza shop right beside this place which by the way the pizza is excellent!! Different review though... Heard the barker calling us to the bar to try a beer, usually I am not one at all for craft beers but gave him a shot. I ordered a sample of the kill devil scotch ale and was truly blown away!!! It was unlike any craft beer I have ever had and I am now searching to find where I can buy some for home!!! Atmosphere was a nice little hole in the wall with a little bar and a good few taps of beer. You can sit inside or take your beer out on the deck to enjoy the beautiful view. The taste of the beer was fantastic. Had a bit of a strong backing like scotch does but some earthy chocolate notes by me. I would love to try their other beers so I am searching for them online as I write this!!! Cheers and thank you to the barker who turned me around for...
