Oceans East Bait and Tackle- Nags Head is phenomenal. The store may not appear large from the outside, but boy oh boy are you in for a treat! It is clean, well-organized, and FILLED with incredible fishing tackle. Whether you are looking slay some monsters offshore or wade fish in the sound for trout and drum, they have what you need. And in my opinion, they have some of the most friendly and knowledgeable employees to guide you in the right direction for your fishing needs. Often, I find bait stores can be elusive and better than, but Oceans East makes you feel right at home. They also have an excellent selection of apparel, including Oceans East designed comfort color...

Not a bad tackle shop, kinda sad to see the old Whale bone shop go after so many years of faithful service to the fishing community and the outer banks in general. The new store has a nice assortment of fishing gear, but it is heavily over stocked, it is a challenge just to move around the store and most areas you have to flatten to one side of the aisle to have two people pass each other. Parking is still limited and a bit of a challenge to get out of the parking lot, but it alwats has been. Once they get some roots down and make some adjustments I'm sure it...

Best tackle shop in OBX... Have been coming here my entire life (used to be Whalebone tackle)... The old owner sold the shop but the guys that bought it are still super awesome.. My dad bought me my first rod from Whalebone when I was like 6years old, and I’m happy to say that when I go back to the beach in 2 weeks I’ll be buying my son his first rod from this shop as well... I could go get him one before we go down but it’s the tradition of going here that I want to pass down... This place is a staple in the OBX...
