One of the best meals Iāve had in Nampa, in Idaho, ever??? This is the best and most authentic filipino food you can get outside of the archipelago itself.
All the love and flavor of the best home-cooked meals served up quickly, affordably, and by the nicest aunties imaginable.
And if youāve never had filipino food before, theyāre more than happy to guide you.
Hereās what weāve tried so far and itās all been 5/5:
Lechon Kawali - tender, satisfying, magically not too greasy, and served with the best vinegar dip. I feel like everyone whoās obsessed with bacon just hasnāt tried lechon (not that you canāt love both)
Ginataang Gulay - everything stewed very well and flavorfuy. Loved the okra and the shrimp paste flavor. Super special to get to try outside of an auntieās house!
Lumpia - served with homemade sauce, perfectly crispy. Perfection.
Pork Sisig - packed with flavor and I love the little peppers in it that arenāt too spicy but really round of the dish. Classic filipino food done excellently!
Turon - my favorite filipino dessert!
Pancit - mouthwateringly good. Well seasoned noodles that youāll crave forever.
Nice to find a dog friendly place with cozy outdoor seating thatās THIS GOOD too.
Canāt recommend this place enough. Going to visit every time we...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTasty food and amazing people! Julie the owner is one of the absolute nicest persons that you will find anywhere. Nampa, Boise, Meridian, Caldwell all have one thing in commonā¦.Americanized Asian food. There are a few spots that are acceptable but itās pretty much boring all the way around.
My wife is Lao and comes from a family that can really cook. We have traveled extensively and know what good Asian cuisine is and this area is lacking. That being said this little truck is the exception. Very authentic Filipino food with several options from mild to semi wild! We feel that this is no doubt a top choice for Asian cuisine in all of Idaho and easily the best Filipino food that we have had here.
If you have never tried Filipino foodā¦this is the place to experience. Itās seasoned and cooked with love by Filipino folks that care about their culinary heritage. The portions are huge and the prices are about the same as Panda. Why would someone go with Panda when this little truck blows it away?! Try itā¦.you will love...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time coming here today and was impressed from the moment we got into the parking lot. The first thing I want to say is that the service was phenomenal, we were greeted with immediate smiles and a strong welcoming from the two ladies in the window. They were so sweet and answered every question that my wife or I had without any frustration or sense of rushing at all. I just wanted to say thank you for that because it made the experience even better.
Which leads me to the food, it was authentic, delicious, and extremely well priced. I knew from the second we got here it was going to be good and I was not wrong at all. If you are looking for the real deal it is worth coming here, I can't wait to go back! This is one of those businesses that...
