I had heard that this was a home style cafe with great breakfast food so decided to try it. Two of us walked in and were greeted promptly by a young woman with a nice smile and seated right away. We were given menus and asked about beverages, both of us asked for coffee. The coffee service was slow, in fact another server stopped and asked if we wanted a beverage and we let her know that we had ordered. The menu was a little skimpy for my taste; I love omelets or scrambles, but unfortunately there were only three omelets on the menu and they all included bell pepper as an ingredient. So I ordered Linguisa, scrambled eggs cooked well with home fried potatoes. My companion ordered pancakes, eggs over easy and county style sausage patty. The linguisa was overcooked, dry and not too flavorful. The eggs were cooked, but not as well done as I requested and the home fries were deep fried! The home fries were the most disappointing part of the meal, I expected onion and probably bell pepper and cooked on flat top with that nice crusty edge from the grill but had chunks of potato that were evenly cooked all around, light brown and obviously cooked in a deep fat fryer, tasted like french fried potatoes. My companion's pancake was tasty, it looked a little under cooked, but he said it was actually fine. The egg was cooked as ordered but he was not at all happy with the taste of the sausage. The service started out as great as I've indicated, but unfortunately that was it. We had one cup of coffee and no offer of a refill after ward. The wait staff brought our food and our tag within about two minutes after receiving the food, but never came back around with a coffee pot. We were not impressed and will not go back to Emmy...

Read moreWe were passing through Napa and needed to eat breakfast. Whipped out Maps and found Emmy Lou's Diner. Had to go because we have a grandchild named Emmy Lou. We were not disappointed. They were fairly busy for a Saturday morning, but we were greeted and seated within minutes. They took our drink order right away and got us our menus quickly. My wife ordered the Frittata, and I ordered the Corned Beef Hash. I was a bit surprised by how quickly our food arrived. I loved that they had a variety of condiments already on the table. I loved the Gunslinger Jalepeno sauce. Both entrées were delicious. I really liked the Frittata. The coffee kept coming without having to flag down the waitstaff. Everyone there was so attentive and friendly. I used the facilities while we were there, and the restroom was spotless and well stocked. All in all it was a very...
