Hacienda — Restaurant in Napa

I come here often. I came for Mother's day and it was chaos. They said they got a table ready for us because i had my infant needed room for a high chair. Came in they were lost trying to figure out who was helping us. Another waitress sat us at a table with only one chair for 3 people. When i refused that table they ran around trying see where to put us. They put us in the hottest spot in the restaurant with no ventilation or air conditioning and didn't bring me a high chair. It took forever to place our order then took twice as long to get our food which was not what i had ordered. She ran away so fast i just ate what they brought me and made sure we didn't get charged for the shrimp i ordered. My baby was screaming she was so hot so we paid and went to leave quickly. I ordered 2 burritos to go, but they were disgusting. Had hard old carne asada, no sauce, and barely any guacamole. I was so disappointed. $40 for 2 burritos with a tip and they were half the size they serve us when we eat in the restaurant. When i left i told her its too hot for the baby so we have to leave. Over 92° outside and it was hotter in the restaurant where we were seated was the hottest spot. Remodeling didn't help the bad...

Found this fantastic Mexican restaurant purely by mistake a few months back, and have returned here numerous times since. Their menu covers a hefty number of offerings...more than just tacos and burritos...including fresh ceviche, fiery prawns diablo, and offerings of birria, menudo, and pazole Friday through Sunday. My go to on my latest visit was a bowl of Chile Verde with melt in your mouth chunks of pork in a spicy green sauce that screamed flavor and attention to recipe originality out of their kitchen. Warm flour tortillas, a couple of street tacos, and a cold Mexican beer in a ice chilled mug rounded out my meal. Got a tasty carnitas torta here with everything on it. It was reasonably priced and very tasty. Their carnitas is very flavorful and nicely fried up and crispy and it was plentiful on my torta. Food came out quickly despite there being a number of other people in line and at tables before me.

My only minor complaints are that my torta was thrown together with very little care. Tortas are messy enough when put together nicely so that was a bit of a bummer. My other small complaint was that their complimentary salsa was pretty weak in both flavor and spice. Otherwise I was very pleased overall. Definitely worth checking out...
