I know that I am a little spoiled from having lived in Sacramento for decades, with options available to me like Babylon City (which has amazing and cheap similar food options), but even with that in mind, this place is simply not very good. We phoned in an order which I picked up.
The owner seemed distant at best. For example, rather than thanking me for coming and spending $50+, he muttered "that bag might fall over," and wandered into the back of the food prep area. I signed the credit card receipt and said "thank you" to him, which wasn't even acknowledged and I shrugged and left.
Being vegetarian, we got falafel wraps. They seemed over-priced to me at $10, but figured we'd try them. There was nothing wrong with them, other than being pretty small; there's just nothing great about them either, and they just aren't really worth the price. The sauce they came with smelled kind of gross, so we didn't use that. We also got $9 Greek salads, similarly not worth the price tag for the size and what you get (lettuce, a little feta, some kalamata olives, a little tomato), and with dressing that was far too sweet. The wrap also came with garlic potatoes, and those were probably the thing I liked best. But I don't think I like them enough to draw me back for a $7 side order of them.
Napa really only has two options for this kind of food, and the other, Small World, is definitely better for around the same price. Small World also seems a...
Read moreThe first time I came here the food was really great, I thought I found my new hotspot to go. What I ordered was Chicken Shawarma Plate. The portion was great everything was fresh and delicious with flavorful chicken the hummus was super creamy. Because I enjoyed it so much I went back three days later and bought the same thing. This time, only one person was working, an older man. I went outside for a little bit and came and to see if my food was ready the man proceeded to try to take my order again, he did not remember that I was just in there. Then he went to the back moving around I also ordered some dolmas this time which they seemed to come out of a fridge very old looking and broken up. The inside of the place looks a bit run down. I got my food and it was nothing like my first experience. My plate was very heavy as it was three times more hummus than I got the first time. It had way less Chicken not same flavor and what little chicken I had was swimming in this really wet hummus. The first time I went there was four 3 1/2 inch cucumbers. this time four 1 inch raw zucchinis. I took about 5 bites and had to toss my plate This is not a place that I would return. Maybe if they hired some people instead of the two older couple that is clearly needs to retire or just have some help in...
Read moreMy wife and I recently had the pleasure of dining at JuJu's Mediterranean, and it was an experience I won't soon forget. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality by the owners, setting the stage for what turned out to be a culinary delight.
The owners at JuJu's Mediterranean were impeccable hosts, going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience. Their genuine warmth and attentiveness added an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show: the falafel. Oh, what a treat it was! But what truly set JuJu's falafel apart was its texture – airy, fluffy, and incredibly light. It was crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, to perfection. Each falafel was crafted with care, skill, and passion, resulting in a dish that was not only delicious but also memorable.
Each bite was a burst of flavor, with a perfect balance of spices that left me craving more.
JuJu's Mediterranean has truly mastered the art of making falafel, from their culture.
I highly recommend Juju’s Mediterranean. Whether you're a fan of Middle Eastern cuisine or simply looking for a culinary adventure, JuJu's is the place to be. Prepare to be transported to falafel heaven – your taste buds...
