Mary's Pizza Shack — Restaurant in Napa

Visited Napa several times but this was the worst experience ever. Made a big mistake to bring my family here for dinner on the first day of family reunion trip in Napa. We picked it because it is close to our hotel and gets decent reviews. We checked in around 7:20pm with about 1/3 tables empty. The salad and chicken wings were quick but the pizza took about 30mins. We sat next to the counter but no one checked with us until around 8:10pm (after 40mins)one lady showed up saying there was a mistake on our two remaining orders for grand parents and promised the dishes would be ready in 3mins, and she also offered a free desert. However, that 3mins turned out to be another 15mins delay. Finally, it took an hour to get the two spaghettis for grand parents without desert and the previous lady never showed up again before checkout. Anyway we didn’t have the mood for any desert after long wait and the waitress already started to put chairs on the tables close to ours around 8:30pm. No one came to check whether we were fine with the dishes or tried to refill water. What a mess! Food was OK but not impressive. Will...

Mary's reached out after my negative experience and made things right. I was offered a gift card so I could give them a second chance. I am happy to report that everything was perfect on this visit. The pizza was ready on time and brought out piping hot and it tasted good. When in the mood for this style of pizza, I'll be back.

This could have been an excellent pizza if the service was better. I had ordered a pizza with carside delivery and after waiting 5 minutes past the designated time I went inside to check on my order. I waited several more minutes before I was helped despite many employees and no customers. Finally, I was helped and handed my pizza from a warmer that evidently doesn't work. By the time I got home, six blocks away, my pizza was cold. I can say the pizza reheated better than most. We celebrated my husband's 70th birthday with a surprise party in the enclosed banquet/party room at Mary's Pizza, Napa on Friday December 20, 2024 at 6 PM. Maya the manager and all of her staff were 100% over the top accommodating to our 30 guests. I was able to decorate the room the night before and also put the pie and cake in their refrigerator the morning of the party. Our server Mayra did an excellent job refilling pitchers of drinks and replacing empty pizza trays as needed. When the party was over at 8:30 PM all we had to do was packup pur belongings and the staff took care of the rest of the cleanup and removal of balloons, disposable tablecloths, and paper and plastic products. You might want to know how much it costs to reserve the party room. Amazingly, it was absolutely free of charge!! I can't thank Maya, Mayra, and everyone else for making this surprise party perfect and much less expensive by far than anywhere else!!
