Dairy Queen (Treat) — Restaurant in Naperville

Awful and unfortunate experience. I came in with my birthday BOGO reward on their app excited to use my coupon. I walk in, everyone is crowding around, the worker (off to the side, not by the register) says "I can take your order". I tell her I would like one of their new blizzards and then she tells me they are out of it, but she can make a similar "concoction". I said that is fine and proceeded to wait for my order. While she was making my blizzard, I see a sign on the register (that I was not near since she came out of nowhere to take my order) saying they do not accept the rewards app. I think it would have been nice to know they do not accept the rewards app before I ordered - especially if she saw I had the coupon pulled up on my phone. She told me we cant take the BOGO birthday coupon after she already made the blizzard. I think it would have been nice to honor the birthday coupon since she did not tell me prior to me ordering that they dont use the rewards app + they were out of the blizzard I wanted? Left...

Disappointed as my wife and I took the kids and had planned to use the app to take advantage of a Dairy Queen promotion they were advertising.

We sorted by location that participated in the promotion; it showed this Location. We found out after my kids were already eating their desserts that they didn't participate. The gentleman said, ”everyone knows that we don't participate in the app promotions.” We obviously did not. He shared it was a problem at corporate. Extremely frustrating. The promotion was even highlighted on a local Naperville news outlet.

Reading other reviews, it sounds like ”we don't participate” might be a common statement from the workers. Don't expect any experience that is...

If I could give this Dairy Queen 0 stars, I would. They have no idea how to properly make mixed shakes like a Misty Freeze. I’ve been enjoying them for 30 years, and what they served me was far from how it's supposed to be made. When I pointed this out, they were incredibly rude about correcting it. The customer service here is just terrible, and the owner is no better—rude and cheap. On top of that, their prices are higher than any other Dairy Queen in the area. Do yourself a favor and go out of your way to visit a different Dairy Queen. This place is a definite no-go! Steer clear. This manager and location give Dairy Queen a bad name. Definitely should be a location...
