When I visited Kong Dog, the location was pretty empty, which made me worry that not many people stop by. Inside, there were no other customers, and I ordered through a self-service kiosk. I got one original hot dog — half cheese, half sausage — coated in sugar (highly recommend!), Cheetos-sprinkled fries, and a blueberry lemonade slushy. To be honest, I was a bit nervous since the place had some low-rated reviews online, but I ended up loving everything I ordered! The hot dog was flavorful and had a great texture — the sugar coating really added something special. The fries with Cheetos dust are always a fun and delicious combo. And the blueberry slushy was surprisingly good — it tasted like they blended real blueberries, and I could feel some chunks in my mouth, which gave it a fresh, natural flavor. One thing to note: you might not get the best service here, since it looked like an older man was working alone. But considering that, I really appreciate the effort he puts in, and I think it’s a place worth supporting. Overall, I had a great experience with the food, and I’d definitely come back. Hopefully more people discover this spot!

Empty shell of a space (we were not sure it was open). There was no one at the counter or menu on the wall but you could order via a kiosk. We got 6 Kong Dogs for the 3 of us so we could try different ones. It was novel, which was cool but that wore off the more we ate. It seemed like it should be at a county fair or maybe an oceanfront boardwalk… somewhere you would eat while walking. You select your filling (hot dog, cheese, combo, chicken sausage, or plant meat). The half cheese and half hot dog combo seemed to be the way to go… not too much of one thing. For the all cheese, it was just like a giant mozzarella stick. The chicken sausage tasted like a hot dog which was fine but not expected. We won’t be going back. It was not horrible, but just not the kind of unique place you need to visit a second time.

I stopped by Kong Dog after spotting the sign while biking home from the Riverwalk. The place was pretty empty inside—very minimalistic and kind of had a cold vibe—but the menu definitely caught my attention. I wasn’t sure what to expect with options like a Fruity Pebbles corn dog and a spaghetti corn dog, but I decided to try the churro dog. It was like a giant corn dog meets carnival dessert—sweet potato coating dusted with cinnamon and sugar. Super tasty and fun, felt like fair food in the best way! Only $5.99 or $6.99 too. Food gets 5 stars from me. Only downside was the bathroom was under construction.

I have read through the reviews and I'm baffled how someone can give one star for a forgotten sauce with absolutely no comment on how the food was. Sounds like they were mad and wanted to lash out which is crappy. Mistakes happen!! Also to bash based off of the type of oil used in cooking? If you don't like it, go somewhere else! But these are bad reasons IMO to give such a terrible rating. I visited Kong Dog 25 minutes before closing. They were cleaning the restaurant and while a lot of places would have been mad to have a customer in that late, they were more than happy to help me and the manager came out personally to thank me for my business. We got 2 potato dogs. One for my daughter and one for my husband. They loved them! One was a half and half and the other was full sausage. My daughter got the half and half and preferred the cheese while my husband preferred the sausage. My other daughter got the spicy Cheetos one. Its a mix of sweet and spicy and that confused her young taste buds so she ended up trading half of hers for half of my husband's potato dog. I got the sweet chili and thought it was amazing. It was a mix of sweet, tangy, with a little spice and I got it with spicy mayo and the combo was DELISH! I would not hesitate to go back and order again and even try a different one too. All of us really enjoyed it and I have picky eaters. If you are on the fence, give it a shot. We were...

I was so excited to finally have a location near home. I go in and no one is at the register which is fine I don’t mind manually placing my order. I just thought it was a little odd. Anyways i placed my order and I chose the only cheese option. I double checked before I paid it was just cheese. I get my order and I see there is sausage in my order, I cannot eat meat so I nicely go back in and tell them I didn’t order it with sausage I made sure it was just cheese. The worker prints a copy of my receipt and it shows I chose the option for sausage. I said okay maybe something may have happened but is there a possibility for you to remake with just cheese because I cannot eat this. She said no we are sorry but we go based off what you ordered and again I repeated to her I didn’t order sausage there must have been a glitch in your machine. I asked again nicely could you do something and she said no. I have never gone anywhere where they don’t offer some kind of customer service to fix an issue like this. I spent 7 dollars on an item I couldn’t eat and had to throw away. Absolutely the worst customer service anyone could provide. I didn’t even want a refund I just wanted the item made correctly so I could actually eat it but this was...
