I am a devoted LaVazza coffee consumer. I was at an appointment in Naperville and excited to stop at this coffee shop.
I went, I tried, won't go back. Primary reason the tall fellow at the counter, did not, smile, acknowledge or interact with me. I think perhaps he should find a place to work where people are not involved.
I purchased several large bags of coffee, a cold Ube latte and an ice tea. The Ube latte was ok for $8, no foam as stated in the description and I can't be sure but possibly was heavy on the ube syrup. The ice tea was filled 3/4's of the way, the gal making drinks gave me the iced tea and stated, "we ran out of ice tea, are you ok with this much or do you want to wait, it will be about 10 minutes". In addition, I had to ask for straws! Wow, I felt like I was in the twilight zone. Atmosphere was sterile, no character. I think if smaller space, it would have more flare.
I am still a devoted Lavazza fan and will continue to enjoy my noon cup at home and work.
I would recommend that a soft skills class needs to be part of the hiring and training...
Read moreWas very upset with the service that the barista provided. I believe his name is James, or that is what I heard his do worker refer to him as. From the beginning of my entry into the coffee shop, I was not greeted and was given a rather cold look by the employee. Like I was an inconvenience to him. I was looking at the menu and pastry case and he immediately asked me what I was going to order. I didn’t even have time to look at the menu. I felt very pressured. When I ordered, I asked for my drink with coconut milk because I am severely allergic to dairy. I also asked to order a salad but he said the kitchen would not be making anymore food orders at around 1:30pm which I found puzzling. When he handed me my drink I asked him if it was made with coconut milk because I’m allergic to dairy and he simply said “No, sorry” and walked away. I was so in shock that I didn’t even say anything else to him. I just threw my drink away and left. I’ve always had very good experiences with the girls working here and never thought that I would receive such horrible treatment. I will not be...
Read moreLocation is nice, quiet, clean and family friendly. I have been coming here before the name change from Lavazza to Arista. While the food etc is great (no so much the warm items; several times food items have been cold/room temp as if they were laying out in the back where the warmers are located) the service keeps declining. From being not fully staffed at some points, the drink recipe consistency isn’t there. Some weekends items will be available and others they are not because “they forgot”. Instead of clarifying and offering to remake or rectify the situation you’re usually met up with a “that’s how this always comes”. I have noticed when it gets busy the staff will forget some of your items etc but just go to the counter and ask for them.
I like the products they sell here but the service is not in brand with the Arista brand and it’s...
