Topgolf Naperville — Restaurant in Naperville

Had a very terrible experience, got there at 7:15 and was told there was a 2-2 1/2 hour wait, got on the wait list and was told we would recieve texts, we were totally fine with waiting, went to the bar got some food and drinks, after waiting quit some time went up to Inquire about how much longer because we only received the text with the link to have our group sign up, all we were told was we were still on the list. We checked the app and had an estimated bay time of 9:35 pm, at 9:20 we inquired again because we still had not received any texts per the app we should have gotten a text 15 minutes before our bay would be ready and never did. We were told it would be about another 20 minutes, after we hit the 2 1/2 hour mark which would have been 9:45 we went up again and had to re-give our phone number because they were unable to find my name on the wait list, we finally got our bay 5 minutes to 10pm, and when we arrived at our bay it was not cleaned, empty cups and plates and check book from previous guests was still on the table. Mind you while all this was happening people who came in after us and were given same wait time got bays way before us. We understand we came in on a busy weekend night but felt as if we were pushed to the side. This is the perfect chill place. I went there Sunday afternoon with friends who were looking for a driving range, and since it was chilly outdoors, Topgolf was of course the best option. When we got there, we were told that there was a 2 ½ hour wait for a bay, so we thought of going bowling instead, but ultimately decided to wait it out and get drinks at the bar and restaurant. This is not my first time here. I already know their food is so better than most bars and pubs. Our server was helpful and attentive, and was there when we needed her, without hovering over us. She made our experience so much more pleasant. Then in less than two hours, we got our bay on the first level. There was some kind of tournament going on at the second level with golfers bringing their own golf bags and clubs. I wonder if this is a regular thing they do. Again I was impressed by the server down there for being knowledgeable and helpful. The place was clean and well maintained, considering it is quite huge. It has a classy but welcoming ambiance. Our decision to go there was spontaneous, but we had fun, and totally enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. I just want to start off with usually I have great experiences with top golf at Schaumburg and in Naperville. However this time I went and it was a bad experience unfortunately. Starting off I had booked a time and when we got there the bay was still occupied by the previous group in the bay and the table was a mess. Fortunately there was staff present to relocate us and apologize. Once we were relocated the server Debie had approached us and immediately pointed out we had brought water in and started telling us about policy. Which is understandable, but when I was asking questions trying to understand the policy, the server immediately started trying to escalate things and asked us if we should get a manager involved. I really felt unwelcomed and it seemed like I had to calm down the server and apologize and de-escalate the situation. When all I was trying to do is understand the policy and it's restrictions. I was very disappointed and felt the server was very unprofessional as they didn't even talk to us or welcome us or even try to understand why we brought water. My wife is pregnant and brings her own water where ever she goes. I'm very disappointed and I love top golf and I felt very uncomfortable the whole time I was there.
