Nicky's Red Hots — Restaurant in Naperville

I visited here for a second time to see if the it was better. It was not. The chicken sandwiches, Char-grilled and Deluxe, I had, two of them were both overdone, way to much mayo, and what the heck is going on with the smushed buns?! Food should not be served so carelessly and not up to temp. Both sandwiches were dry and the deluxe sandwich was worse. I ordered the soup as a side, a cream of chicken "rice", and it tasted so processed and was really not what I expected. The crushed, poor quality of the buns were what really pissed me off, and also the Gyro was not very good, at all. Hardly any tzatziki sauce, and the sauce was way to thick to be enjoyed properly, and had hardly any flavour to it. I have has Gryos from FL, to CA, to NYC to MN, and have tasted many different styles..I am not sure if it is a regional thing in IL to have the sauce like that, but I did not care for it. The customer service was poor, to say the least, and I wanted to try to this place based on the reviews and the name.... This place seems to be real popular, maybe I will try it again in hopes the food will get better, but the Gryo I will be very hesitant ordering it, it really needs thicker slices of Gryo meat, more Tzatziki sauce, and a bigger...

Whenever I think about gyros, the first place that comes to mind is definitely this family-owned restaurant. This restaurant has been here for years, and I have also been here a lot of times, and I can definitely say that they are very consistent with their food, flavor, and everything. The restaurant is also super nice. It is a good spot for something casual and comfy. It is also always clean and bright and just basically a good spot when you want something clean that has nice ambiance as well. The food here is really delicious. They have a huge variety of options on their menu. There are a lot of choices, but for me, the best ones are definitely their gyros, salads, their dogs, and, of course, their burgers. I love their gyros because they are authentic, they taste delicious, and they are always served fresh. Their salad is always fresh, and aside from that, the dressing tastes great too. Their dogs and burgers are also good. It all tastes good, and the portions are huge. Back then, service was always quick, but it is kind of different now. Service is sometimes really slow. That’s the only downside I could think of, and the rest of everything is fine, including the prices, which are fair...

The food is delicious. This authentic Greek restaurant never really failed to impress us. We were a total of ten people, and we decided to dine here for lunch. It was the perfect restaurant for us considering the store atmosphere and vibe that we really needed on that particular day as our break. They have a nice menu with different and good choices. Their menu also serves a bigger group, like ten to fifteen people, just like us, and it was really nice and convenient. All of us agreed to order the Greek salad and the fettucine alfredo. The service is somehow quick and the server is super nice and helpful. The food is delicious. We started with the salad, and it was overall fresh with a perfect balance of flavor, and we could really say from the taste that the food was really authentic. Next that we had was the pasta. If there is one thing that I love about our experience here, then that would definitely be their pasta. It was my first time eating their fettucine alfredo, even after a lot of times I’ve been here, and all I can say is that pasta is amazingly delicious.
