Einstein Bros. Bagels — Restaurant in Naples

What can you say about a fresh bagel in the morning with a great cup of coffee, except YES, please!

I was having a not so great morning after being up all night, another reaction to yet another medication, after the fall I took this past weekend. The topper was our son bringing home the flu, and he is a sharer. He is always huggy and just wants to be made better. We are a set match. When we are down, we are down. How could anyone not?

So, as far as having the brain power to deal with decisions, it is so fair to say I was running low on steam.

I was a little overwhelmed by all the choices, having never been to #EinsteinBagels, I decided to put my trust in a signature bagel sandwich, turkey, avocado & bacon, my son had the Texas brisket egg sandwich & hubby ordered the bacon & cheddar sandwich. Each served on bagel of our choice.

We were waken up from our stooper from our first bites. Just the right amount of every ingredient on perfectly toasted bagels.

We were pleasantly surprised, all were very tasty.

I went in and the people behind the counter did not greet us or ask what we wanted. Another person walked in and had to say "hello, can I get some bagels". Whatever thats not the big deal.

The big deal to me is that the guy behind the counter on 7/9/18 at 1pm had plastic gloves on as if to protect the customers food from bare hands and cross contamination. Good right? Wrong, he was handling the money and working the register with the gloves on then went right back the handling the food with those same gloves on... what a gross idiot! What is the sense of putting gloves on if your going to handle money one of the most filthy things there is then go back to handling food with the same gloves! I just walked out and will never return.

Heres a tip for "Einstein" if your "Einstein" then be smart enough to know the purpose of gloves and take them off while handling money and get a fresh pair when your back to handling food. It the entire purpose of putting gloves on. To call yourselves "Einstein" and do such stupid things is a insult to the mans name.

I just wanna start off by saying that I really love this place for breakfast. I normally got to the north fort Myers location but I just moved to Naples so I was excited to learn that I had one right down the road from me. However the Naples spot is a complete night and day difference when it comes to service and quality of products. Upon entering you’re met with the smell of burnt coffee and bagels as if everything is being cooked until black. Pushing that aside, I normally order a simple vanilla cold brew and a bagel but every time I get my coffee it’s made either without cream or sugar or both and it’s starting to get under my skin so much that I really don’t feel like coming back. I’ve tried to give this store the benefit of the doubt but every time I leave frustrated.
