China king — Restaurant in Narberth

I've been going to China King for twenty plus years. It's a traditional neighborhood Chinese take-out place. I used to love their general tsos tofu - it seems to have changed hands recently so if you order lunch you get the old cook with the old (delicious) tofu but if you order dinner you get the new cook with new tofu (not as good). I will also say that the former proprietors/managers were nicer than the current ones. We still order from there fairly regularly. I have been loving the addition of Thai options which are consistently delicious (though I always ask for extra tofu because they tend to be light on...

The people there are nice, but the food is just average. Reasonably priced for what you get. It is a nice option in Narberth, but nothing to write home about.

Update a year later I am adding to my first review because I picked up some food from here a year after my first review and the food was so bad. Everything out of the five dishes had the same flavorless "brown oil sauce" which was vegetable oil and soy sauce, the pepper steak was a green bell pepper and some onion slices with a piece of beef in it and the container was only half full. Everything was terrible, I will never order...

Updated review above: We ordered Moo Shi Pork tonight and got no Hoisin Sauce! That is un acceptable in my opinion. Their food is generally ok, but bland (even when you order something extra-extra -extra spicy). They just have no clue. Original post: I love their food, especially the Singapore Rice Noodles dish, Sesame Chicken and their Crab Rangoons ( they call them something else though ). My reason for only 4 stars is that it is take out only and they never make the dishes as spicy...
