Nanas Kitchen & Catering LLC — Restaurant in Narberth

Really delicious food at a great price. The outdoor seating is so nice. All that said the next part is a long time coming but things need to change.

Portions are always a good size but they keep changing their recipes (or at least how they turn out) and their dishes.

The service has been a problem this past year. The man behind the counter often takes his time putting the orders in a bag and will skip over the order if someone new walks in to order. I have had to wait for too long while my order was right next to him because he was either trying to talk to me or helping a new customer. Each time this has happened, I called in advance and told them that I'm in a hurry and my takeout order should be ready when I arrive. 15 minutes after the time they said the order would be ready, I'm still waiting for this employee to pay attention to what he's doing, put my food in the bag, and take my money.

They need to be transparent about when they are open and not just post on Facebook while meanwhile google and elsewhere says they are open.

Today was the last straw as I bit into a pizza empenada that was entirely empty (pic included).

We happened to be walking by and happened to see their sign that read homemade soups. On the way back to the car decided to check it out. Butternut squash, lentil and chili. All were excellent. The lentil soup was thick and tasty. The chili had just the right touch of heat. The butternut squash was also outstanding. We also sampled the falafel & tehina (very good & fresh).

Nana's is Kosher vegan, vegetarian, and prescetarian restaurant. Every item on the menu is labeled P (parve), VG (vegan), V (vegetarian), GF (gluten-free), or D (dairy).

It's a small place with limited eat-in seating and excellent food....

My husband and I placed a catering order with Nana's for our small wedding. We are new to the area and are thrilled with how our wedding meal turned out. Gladys was so responsive with my request and the communication was excellent. Our families were impressed with the spread- we had the mac & cheese, empanadas, vegetarian chili & cornbread, Nana's salad, and dessert sampler. Everyone had a different favorite and our only regret was not ordering more cornbread! We can't wait to try more...
