My boyfriend and I ordered food online from this place since we were in the area, and had never been before. The food online looked really good, and was easy to order from and it said at the end to pick up our food in 25 mins. After we paid for the food, he and I went to another stop, and then to get our food.
We got there after about 20 minutes passed. They didn’t have a customer pick up area available to the customers. It was behind their POS and order counter, so you have to wait in line for your pick up order. And when we asked for ours, there was a hard language barrier and when she asked for help, she didn’t really receive much effort from anyone to help her. They were semi busy, but service was not up to par. Then, it turns out our food order hadn’t even been noticed yet. They didn’t tell us, and just went to cooking.
They start cooking our food, and as the woman cooking had food in one gloved hand, she’s touching a touch screen monitor with her other gloved hand, amongst other things that I feel shouldn’t be touched if you’re cooking food, let alone serving the public. After about another 25 minutes, our food was ready.
We left hoping the food was worth the less than pleasant experience inside. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. Our food orders had been all mixed up. Some of what I was supposed have in my quesadilla was in my boyfriends, and vice versa. The quesadillas were cut into triangles instead of being left whole, which is fine, but the tortilla wrap couldn’t hold the quesadilla on either of ours. Mine was heavier than my boyfriend’s. His was on the light side (he’s picky), and his had also fallen apart and was hard to eat without making a mess and a half.
The only good experience was the online ordering. I’m quite disappointed. They also tried handing us cups for fountain drinks, even though we ordered bottled sodas. Only my boyfriend was able to eat his food and we paid roughly $35 for 2 quesadillas and 2 bottled sodas. I don’t know if we’ll be...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of trying the birria tacos at Baja Tacos, and I must say, it was a delightful departure from the usual taco fare. As a seasoned taco enthusiast who has sampled countless varieties, I was intrigued by the buzz surrounding birria tacos on social media, and Baja Tacos did not disappoint.
What sets birria tacos apart is their unique preparation, which includes a generous serving of cheese alongside the traditional ingredients. Each bite was a burst of flavor, perfectly complemented by the signature dip that accompanied the tacos. If you’re a taco aficionado like myself, trying birria tacos at Baja Tacos is a must.
Aside from the exceptional food, the staff at Baja Tacos were incredibly friendly and helpful, adding to the overall positive experience. However, I couldn’t help but notice that the ambiance was a bit lacking. The quiet atmosphere, reminiscent of a library, could benefit from some lively music to enhance the dining experience. Nevertheless, for those seeking a serene spot to enjoy delicious tacos, Baja Tacos fits the bill perfectly.
In conclusion, I highly recommend Baja Tacos to anyone craving authentic and flavorful Mexican cuisine, especially if you’re fortunate enough to live nearby. Whether you’re looking for a new culinary adventure or a cozy spot to study, Baja Tacos delivers...
Read moreOrdered online. They don't have "default" tacos, so you have to design your own. I designed 4 types of tacos and ordered 2 each. When I arrived, I was informed that they didn't have 2 of the 4 meats I selected from their online menu & ordering system, so they just made my tacos with a meat I ordered none of and they duplicated one of the others. The place isn't exactly busy, so I have to think that they didn't have the meat I asked for because of poor planning or employee laziness. I can live with it though.
The lady hands me the bag and instantly all of the taco containers fold in on themselves and my tacos turn into a mess right in front of my eyes because the lady packed it so poorly. I went out in the parking lot and fixed it in 2 seconds because I repacked it in the only way that made sense and should have been extremely obvious.
I get home and we're opening the tacos to transfer them to plates. The tortillas are literally turning to mush as we're picking them up. Whoever made the taco doesn't seem to have shaken off the liquid of any of the ingredients, so everything is soggy and disgusting. Flavorless. I've got a burrito bowl here before and it was decent because that's pretty hard to F up, but the tacos are an absolute mess....
