Golden Dragon — Restaurant in Nashua

UPDATED AND EDITED REVIEW 2019 What happened here? This is terrible. We ordered a large order for a family gathering. The teriyaki steak were so THIN and super over priced for large orders. The chicken was DRY and over battered. The rice was HARD. We ordered such an array of food and it was all terrible. We had asked for extra duck sauce because we had many guests. When it was ready, we asked to confirm about the extra duck sauce and the guy barked "Its in the bag!" Well, it wasn't. It was a single person serving size of some sort of sweet and sour sauce? (In a tiny 2oz container) There was no duck sauce at all, and I don't know why they are trying to even pass this sauce off as the same. They did load our bags with spicy mustard though. How thoughtful. I wish I had updated pictures of how sad this food looked. From now on, we will be going to Wok N Roll on the same street.

The Golden Dragon is my favorite place for Chinese food. We mostly order out, but we have dined in. The inside eating area is fairly clean. The service is mostly good. For the most part, the Golden Dragon is quick and they get orders out the door correctly the first time within 20 minutes of ordering. Overall a pretty good place. Bathrooms are super small though, so if you do visit to dine in, just know those bathrooms are made for 1 dimensional...

I recently had the opportunity to dine at Golden Dragon, a Chinese food restaurant located in the heart of Nashua. While I have sampled some of the finest Chinese cuisine around the world, I was eager to see what this establishment had to offer.

First impressions were a bit underwhelming as the atmosphere resembled that of a 1950s diner. However, the food quickly took center stage. The menu offered a wide variety of classic Chinese dishes, but unfortunately, they were only average in taste. While the flavors were not bad, they lacked the depth and complexity that I have come to expect from high-end Chinese restaurants.

The service was also perfectly subpar, which actually enhanced the experience. I felt great assurance with their abundant police certificates hanging on the wall. The staff was friendly, but they lacked the attentiveness and precision of a top-notch establishment. Nonetheless, they were efficient and got the job done.

Overall, Golden Dragon is a decent option for those looking for a quick and casual Chinese meal. However, if you are seeking an elevated dining experience, this may not be the best option. While the food was acceptable, it did not exceed my expectations. That being said, the restaurant's unpretentious vibe and decent food make it a solid option for a quick and satisfying meal.

I’ve been going to the dragon for about twenty years , today I walked in there with my sunglasses on , swear to god had not had one drink yet today . And the bartender Olivia who had been serving me and we got along just fine for years. Today I sit down and don’t get a hi how are you or hey would you like a Mai tai ? Nope . As soon as I sit down she instigates me and asks why I’m wearing sunglasses inside and I said why do you want to know ? And she said because it’s suspicious! I was dumbfounded, then she says where are you coming from ?! How much have you had to drink today ?! Then she made some other snide remark about what’s there to lose or something like that and I said “a tip” and she told me to leave . Next time I will be insisting on speaking with Pauline the owner for a second opinion. Pauline is extremely reasonable, especially when I’m on my best behavior . Pop in for Mai tai , leave for a few hours, pop back in for another one . I’m kind to everyone so I really don’t know what her problem was today. I mean I’ve been going there since she was born probably. After she said I was suspicious I said well that’s not a very nice thing to say to a customer and she just went off . 0/10 score on Olivia’s service for just today . I will be speaking with Pauline . I did nothing...
