I recently had the misfortune of ordering a burger and Caesar salad, and let me tell you, it was an absolute disappointment. The only redeeming factor was the person who took my order; they were friendly and courteous.
Now, let's get to the food. The burger was an utter disaster. It tasted like a cheap frozen patty that you can buy in bulk from Sam's Club. There was no seasoning, no juiciness, just a bland and uninspired excuse for a burger. And to add insult to injury, the bun was hard as a rock on the bottom, making it impossible to enjoy the meal without breaking my teeth.
As for the Caesar salad, it was a downright disgrace. The lettuce looked like it had been sitting in a freezer for weeks; it was frozen and wilted, not at all what you expect from a fresh salad. The dressing was even worse - it was so thick and salty that it felt like I was eating a bowl of pure salt with a hint of stale cheese.
To top it all off, this was supposed to be a carry-out order, and they didn't even have the basic decency to provide a fork. When I asked for one, they informed me that I had to go to another restaurant to get it. Seriously? If you're offering carry-out, the least you can do is provide the necessary utensils.
Overall, I would strongly advise against trying the burger or Caesar salad from this airport restaurant. Save yourself the disappointment and opt for something else. I can't comment on their other items, as this experience was enough to make me swear off their food forever. The only positive aspect of this ordeal was the polite employee who took my order. But unfortunately, good service cannot make up for terrible food. Avoid this place...
Read moreWalked in and was ignored by the waitress who were working the tables closest to where I was standing. I walked up to her after standing and waiting for close to 10 minutes, a time during which a lot of people waiting behind me walked away. She rudely told me to not come up to her when she was working, and ensured that she took off at least 2 stars off this review.
Now the good part - i was able to use my priority pass this time. In fact, i swiped my card before sitting down and ordering, just to ensure that i don't have the usual priority pass not working surprises later on. Ordered the cobb burger, which was hot, tasty and a very generous portion size. The waitress working in my section was polite and attentive and recommended a great light beer which went well with the heavy burger. I got my check quickly and, no surprises, the waitress who had ignored me and swiped my priority pass had conveniently forgotten to tell her colleague that she had already swiped it and had the receipt with her.
So, overall the experience was good, apart from the part where I was totally ignored for close to 10 minutes. Never before have i experienced such a contrast in service from the same establishment in the...
Read moreThis place is the epitome of a place that needs the TV show, Bar Rescue. The staff openly argues in front of the restaurant, and I can't imagine how they could possibly be more disorganized and slow with the food (and we were there for breakfast ... how difficult is it to throw some egg whites or scrambled on an already hot griddle?). The staff was flabbergasted at the number of walk-outs they had while we were there. I vehemently disagree with walking out on a tab, but I completely understand it at this place. Imagine ... you FINALLY get your drink order and figure you have plenty of time to catch your plane, but lo and behold ... the staff is so busy arguing over who took which food or why the kitchen hasn't put the food up, yet the order has disappeared from the computer screen, or whatever else they clamor over, and they ignore you ... you can't even get their attention to say forget my food and pay for your drink. You have to bolt to catch your flight. To be fair, the server we had was quite polite; she was simply the most unorganized server I've ever seen in my life. The food was actually decent, but unless you visit for the entertainment value, I suggest elsewhere in BNA for...
