I left my original review below from a couple of years ago, because this place has the potential to be amazing.
For the past several months (I usually fly a couple times a month at least), the pour over machine has been broken. Once the drip machine was also broken. Additionally, when the shot for my Americano pulled in under 10 seconds, you can imagine someone doesnāt know how to use the proper grind setting. I took it because I didnāt have time to wait before boarding, but I really didnāt appreciate the up-charge for an āadditionalā shot when it should have been a modifier for type of espresso. $6.56 for a horrible Americano.
My wife prefers the breakfast sandwich from 8th and Roast and they nearly always have a light roast.
I want to love this place and I want it to do well. I used to walk here from any gate that I could. It just isnāt worth it anymore. Save your time and money and go to 8th & Roast. This isnāt a legit Barista Parlor. Hopefully it will be again some day.
Original Review: Okay, this place is something to celebrate! A true third wave coffee shop in an airport does not happen everywhere, so Iām pretty thankful when I can get a single origin pour over! The staff are friendly and patient. I know some people think the prices are a little much, but honestly their pricing is pretty similar for any third wave coffee shop. Additionally the prices are pretty comparable to FiveBucks (Starbucks) around the corner where the coffee has had the life roasted out of it and is covered up with a weeks worth of sugar. This place just makes my day when I get to fly out of C...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy flight home from vacation was cancelled and after a stressful rescheduling, I found myself in a yayover at Nashville. This coffee made it worth it. Iād almost say it was fate. Barista Parlor made one of the best mochas I have ever had. I only had a mocha, so I canāt give any advice on food or drip coffee, but I think you should try this drink. The espresso was great and the syrup wasnāt too sweet. It had the perfect balance of bitter and sweet that I love. If I were you, and happened to be in the Nashville airport, I would give this drink a try. If you donāt like it, Iāll take the blame, but Iām willing to bet you will at least enjoy it! The barista that was there when I passed through was great also, had to tell him how good the drink was. Safe...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've been debating leaving this review, because the baristas are so kind and I love having a third-wave coffee option in the airport!
With tip, I spent $20.00 for a 12 oz standard latte and a severely undercooked breakfast sandwich (as in, the bacon looked almost raw). I spent 30 minutes in line to be duped once again. Every time I say I'm going to give them another chance, I always remember why I shouldn't.
I've tried this spot many times, and as far as drinks goes, it's a good spot (can be really overpriced, but I get it, airport prices), but y'all really REALLY need to figure out your hot food situation, 'cause...
