Incredible, I am blown away by this place.
I came twice on a round trip with layovers here. First time I got the chicken plate with hummus.
The ladies at the registers are super committed to their job and vigilant, very helpful and great energy. They do a good job giving you the options to add stuff, just got to be careful not to get carried away, but a lot of the combos / add ons are really great.
Then you wait for your food to get made, but the line is cool cause you get to watch these awesome guys work through the orders on the fly. Sometimes they get lost in the sauce with the craziness, but if you’re patient, you’ll get exactly what you ordered and then some with all the fixing the boot. The plate absolutely hit the spot. maybe could have gotten a little more hummus, but other than that absolutely fantastic. The second time I came in the morning and they had a full breakfast menu, and greeted again by amazing energy. This time I got the Mediterranean wrap, which was a choice for sure in the AM, basically a chicken wrap with eggs, but they asked if I wanted a combo with hash browns and a drink, I got OJ. Got to watch the guys at work in the line, and when it came to my turn I saw them make the hash browns fresh, chicken cooked right in front of me, and then added all the things I wanted on the wrap. Ate at the tables close by and I got to tell you, one of the best if not the best airport breakfasts I’ve ever had.
Absolutely fantastic. Blown away. First review I’ve done in a while and did not expect to do it for an airport restaurant, but when you’re traveling and looking for something fresh and decently healthy that tastes fantastic, and well priced for how filling it is, these guys hit that mark...
Read moreThis place is a cross contamination nightmare. It was the only place with a vegetarian option so I chose it. As I was waiting in line one of the employees dropped afew chunks of beef into the salad (supposed to be vegetarian) and kept moving. When I told someone they took it out thankfully, the woman in front of me was also vegetarian and ordered that salad. She was not comfortable eating from that salad so they got her some from the back which was very nice but alarming that they didn't change out the spoon they used to remove the beef and kept scooping salad with it. I can't eat dairy and when they asked me if I wanted toppings, a lot of the toppings had cheese mixed in them by accident (served very close to the cheese so it drops in the other toppings), so I asked for the ones without cheese mixed in. But as I was leaving one of the employees said "want some extra cheese with yours?" As a joke to make fun of me. I get really sick if I eat dairy I'm not doing it to be a pain. The lady in front of me was happy I said something about the meat in the salad too. Some people eat like this for religious reasons as well, it's best not to make fun of them if you don't know the reasoning. If you have any qualms about your food being cross contaminated then do not eat here. I can only imagine how they operate in the back where people can't see. The food actually tasted really good, such a shame that I was made fun of for asking for no dairy and informing them there was beef dropped into their salad. Don't advertise that you have vegetarian options if you just throw meat around without changing the food that touched the meat. 2 stars because the food itself was good although I was picking out pieces of...
Read moreTwo stars for attention. Most of the food is definitely good. I got falafel and good falafel is not an easy achievement. The rice was also tasty. Where there is room for improvement there is plenty, and the only reason I’m taking time to write this is because of the disappointed impression Pyramids left. Reading the reviews you see why people have a bone to pick with this place because you just want more from an establishment that represents middle eastern food, and Tennessee. It’s all love!!! The check out girls were friendly. The guys on the serving side, really did not seem to want to be there. They seem unorganized and tired. Probably because whoever is managing this place is having some trouble. The salad is actually a cold soup with wilted lettuce. The rice portion was WAY too much and the fact that it comes with pita is just too heavy. No one needs that many carbs. Offer rice or pita, (or both) I doubt you’ll see too many mad customers. Provide double salad, keep the dressing aside so it’s not soggy. And get some tahini sauce — how do you just have tatziki for falafel and gyros? You got this, I believe in...
