Sat down while waiting for our flight hoping to grab a quick bite and watch some of the game before we departed back home. . Ordered 2 waters to start while we looked at the menu.. within 1 minute we were asked what we would like.. we explained to the server we were recovering from a 21st birthday experience and wanted to drink a glass of water before we started drinking again but we would be ordering food shortly. After 3minutes, the old wrinkled server said we had to either order or leave, all of this within 4 minutes of sitting down. Idk about anyone else but I usually read the menu before I just start ordering food that honestly didn't look all that appealing in the first place. Then after a bad call and a slight reaction from myself, I was told we were not aloud to cheer for our team (The Titans ) while we were at the bar. We immediately stood up and walked out. . Absolutely the worst service we have received while visiting this great city and by far the worst example of "southern hospitality" to date. I hope this miserable old lady is sooner rather than later removed from her position. She would probably do better in the kitchen frying some chicken tenders or washing some dishes anyway, as she has no business personally interacting with customers. Unfortunately not the way we wanted our trip to end but at the same time, definitely not the part of Tennessee we will remember. Nashville has been an awesome place to visit and we will surly be back. just not to visit either of this organizations establishments. Very dirty and unwelcoming, get your act...
Read moreFor a fairly popular tourist destination like Nashville, their restaurant offerings at BNA airport are pretty poor. Tootsies falls firmly into this category. Picked it because it looked the liveliest of the listless restaurants in the terminal. They had a raucous bar, a live musician and it seemed much more full than the surrounding establishments. Since I had no priority pass lounge to kill time while I waited for my delayed flight, Tootsies it was.
I almost instantaneously regretted my decision. The place smells like a frat bar at 2 am, free seating so people jump at seats before the staff has a chance to clean up from the previous patrons. The servers are running around like headless chickens because they are absolutely swamped (but to their credit they still all had a pleasent demeanor and nice attitude). It was a while before our server got to us but she was apologetic and I honestly couldn't blame her because the place was packed. Ordered the spinach and artichoke dip, chilli cheese fries and an old fashioned with Nashville's finest belle meade bourbon.
Food came out reasonably quickly. The dip was awful. Felt like eating warm cardboard with stale chips. The old fashioned was a waste of belle meade and I couldn't eat the fries because I forget the chilli had meat (incredibly stupid mistake to make as a vegetarian).
2 stars because I genuinely felt for the servers and ours was nice enough to comp the fries despite it being my mistake on the order. Other than that this place is...
Read moreSo after a long, two days of traveling, I Had to layover in Nashville airport and decided to go to this restaurant. As soon as I walked in, they told me I could sit wherever I want and when I tried to sit down, she told me I couldnât sit there. she then tried to sit me next to somebody on the long booth seating. I asked her if i could be one over and told me no so then i decided to take a seat at the front end of the restaurant overlooking the walkway of the airport. she gave me a menu, and after a minute or two of me looking over it she came over and asked if I had wanted anything to drink I asked for water because it was 8 AM. She tried to upsell me on multiple alcoholic beverages. After I told her I was not interested and then she also got mad when I told her I was not ready to order my food yet because I havenât had enough time to go over the menu. She then got angry, and told me that if I wasnât going to order anything then i needed to leave the restaurant immediately. So I did end up leaving the restaurant, and I did tell her the reason why was because she was very disrespectful and I decided to eat it Ole Red for the second time, and it was delicious and excellent service as always so my advice skip this restaurant and head over to Ole Reds. Sucks for her because it was around Christmas time and i like to tip extra during...
