Barista Parlor Sylvan Supply — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

Barista parlor is one of the anchors of the Nashville coffee scene and their coffee quality never disappoints. The crema on the espresso is always smooth and long lasting and the taste is always up to standard. It is impressive that every Barista Parlor location has the same level of quality- and the sylvan supply location is no different. I recently went to the Sylvan Supply parlor again and enjoyed my experience. Free parking is available in the lot next to the store, the crowds are minimal during the day, and there are other restaurants and stores located adjacent to the coffee shop. I enjoy coming to the sylvan supply location when I am in the mood to drink a coffee over a book or when I want to try a new wine from next door. The only downside to Barista Parlor, and particularly this location, is the ability to work from the shop during the day and the lack of food options. I constantly see people working from their laptop here, yet there is not a lot of seating available and the seating that is open is largely communal. There also tends to be a lack of charging spots across all the Barista Parlor locations. The food options are very limited and I usually just settle on a cookie to hold me over if I am hungry. Because of the lack of comfort here, I tend to gravitate to Barista Parlor only on special occasions or when I am ready to have coffee on my personal time. Met up with a friend here. Ordered a drip coffee of the day. Employees were kind, knowledgeable, and proficient. Seating was minimal, not comfortable (but also not uncomfortable) and not very interesting. Just long tables with chairs and some outdoor seating (and in this TN heat wave not compatible with life). Also beware, this is a traditional coffee shop, they close early, like 2pm early. So don’t plan a 1pm coffee date if you don’t want to be asked to pack up and leave by 1:45. Has to be the worst tasting coffee in Nash, I genuinely thought they accidentally forgot to wash off some cleaning fluid from the frother but it is just very acidic coffee with a sour bite to it. Not to mention they do not serve mugs , finding a trashcan took work, the barista's seem careless. I feel bad for people who are going here and I am amazed someone invested in this as a business looking to succeed.
