We had a layover here and knew we wanted to try Nashville Hot Chicken while in town. In hindsight, doing this at the airport probably wasn’t the best way to get a true Nashville Hot Chicken experience — but we gave it a shot anyway. We were seated pretty quickly despite the place being very busy (we landed around noon, so that’s understandable). Our waitress was very kind and explained that the “Nashville Hot” spice level was extremely hot, and she actually recommended that we not try it before getting on a flight. We appreciated that honesty and both opted for medium heat instead. I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken wrap, which they called a wrap but was closer to a burrito in size. It took about 30 minutes for the food to come out. Unfortunately, the wrap only had one medium-sized chicken tender inside — the rest was basically just lettuce and vegetables. My boyfriend got the quesadilla, which he said was mostly cheese with very little chicken. It came with guacamole, sour cream, and lettuce on the side. For the price (about $50 for the two of us), we essentially got tortillas, lettuce, and cheese with minimal chicken. Even if we had gotten the true Nashville Hot spice level, there wasn’t enough chicken in either dish to make a difference. Overall, the service was kind and quick to seat us, but the food was not worth the price — especially for what was supposed to be a Nashville Hot Chicken experience.

A local Nashville hot chicken restaurant located in the Nashville International Airport. The atmosphere feels pretty much like most of their other locations, just on a smaller scale. Good beer selection and good food. I ordered the Pimento Cheese Smashburger with fries and a local beer from the bar. The burger was served hot. That’s a big plus. Very good burger. The fries were also very good. The beer was good but overpriced. Nine dollars for local beer served in a plastic cup seems a little steep to me. The bartender was friendly, as were the other staff in the restaurant. I would have given them four or maybe five stars had I not had to wait almost thirty minutes for my food. As I was trying to get a meal before boarding my flight, time was of the essence. The bartender did come by to tell me that the kitchen was trying to catch up on orders and my food would be out soon. It was right after this when I saw food being brought out to people around me who ordered long after I did. Maybe the bartender forgot to place my order when she took it? Maybe the kitchen staff were asleep at the wheel? Whatever the case, if you have a flight to catch and you are pressed for time, you might want to consider going elsewhere.

I will start by saying that my server was really polite and informative, though it was only his second day on the job. Great kid! I had never eaten here, so I asked what was the most popular item on the menu. I was told to get the sandwich I have pictured here. I can’t tell you what the bacon, chicken, bun, or mashed potatoes and gravy tasted like because everything was so grotesquely spicy! It ruined the entire experience. My mouth burned like I had eaten a spoonful of battery acid. I only had a few bites of the sandwich, and then decided to douse the flames with some of the mashed potatoes and gravy. I think they were also spicy, but it’s hard to tell because those few bites I took of the sandwich incinerated my senses and taste buds. Not wanting to be in a diaper the rest of the week and not wanting to be in the lavatory the entire flight across the United States, I paid my bill and then ran next-door to the Burger King and drank a strawberry shake as a remedy for the spiciness that was still killing my mouth.

TERRIBLE experience! When I was there on Monday, I had a seat away from others. After my food was delivered & I removed my mask, I asked one of the employees to please not seat anyone next to me. The tables were literally 2 feet apart. I am a cancer survivor and felt uncomfortable with people that close to me when I was trying to eat. Over half the place was open and there were plenty of tables available. The waitress with long pink hair went ballistic and threw a fit about my request. She made a huge scene in the restaurant & all the customers were watching and looking. She completely humiliated me to the point that I requested a to go box and left immediately. My request was not malicious or meant to be rude. I was just requesting that she not seat anybody on top of me since the tables were only 2 feet apart. A customer should never be humiliated this way! She has no idea what anyone’s medical condition or health requirements may be. It is absolutely uncalled for for anyone to act this way and behave this way towards a customer. I will never go back and would never...
