Not good. Food was as expected. Normal food made not good. And our server should definitely find another profession beyond giving service. To elaborate. Lauren, the server, blamed the espresso machine for taking 21min to get an cappuccino. I also have to blame the manager as well because they brought drinks to the table and said they would check on it. Whatever the reason, I think it’s inattentiveness, the management should figure it out. I also don’t agree with paying an extra dollar for a flavor in the coffee. Lauren didn’t check in at our table after food was served. At all. No drink refill. No upsale on another coffee(I wanted another 4$ cappuccino), no “how is everything “. Literally no check in untill she sat the check down. Seriously. If you are her boss, you should really review the tape and watch table :DINE31 6-26-22 9:45. Teach her what she did wrong (honestly she had to go out of her way not to give us service). The other issues are the food. Prices and taste are as to be expected for a restaurant trying to be trendy. The only good food was the 2$biscuit. The chicken and waffles were an attempt at making something special. But some of the time you shouldn’t try to make it fancy and stick to what is proven. One should not over use black pepper, as you did on the chicken. A patron has control of 2 spices and a chef (or line cook) should go light on these as a patron can adjust these. The waffle also has something in it which doesn’t need to be there. I couldn’t figure it out, but there is something which you are trying to be fancy with, but fall short. In short, I won’t be back. I will estimate closure in 1.5 years. So, please holler back y’all in 2025 if you are still open. Maybe then I’ll give ya another try because you headed my warning and changed up...
Read moreStopped in before we headed home for breakfast. I believe it was around 9 am. The restaurant wasn't crazy busy, so we were seated right away. I ordered coffee to drink, and it was pretty good. The creamer comes in these little silver pitchers, which were super cute. I have a liking for little versions of bigger things. The first thing was our server. His demeanor was just great. Some servers have attitude or just suck but he was super nice, asked if we had any questions (which I did), and came back to check if the food was to our liking and to ask if we would like a coffee or pop to go. He even told us to have a safe trip back home. While I know that's their job and that's how they make their money, it was still nice. We ordered the Big Bad Breakfast Skillet and The Screamin' Demon Chicken Sandwich. The Big Bad Breakfast Skillet was very good, according to my fiance. The Screamin' Demon Chicken Sandwich came with let, Tom, pickles, cheddar cheese, mayo, and a special sauce which I had put on the side. The chicken breast was deep-fried. I wasn't crazy about the special sauce, but again, my fiance liked it. I think my chicken was fried a little too long. The coating was a bit darker than I like. The chicken itself was still good. Moist and a good-sized piece. They have potato hash browns you can choose as a side. They are formed into a rectangle and deep fried, I believe. These were the only disappointment as they really had no flavor. We put salt and pepper and then even ketchup, but I guess it needed something in with the potatoes themselves. The prices were reasonable, and if we lived out that way, I'm sure we would go back and try some other things. Definitely would say it's...
Read moreToday marked our 3rd visit to Big Bad Breakfast here in Nashville. The first time was the best service. We completely over ordered, so I walked away full. The 2nd time we brought family, again over ordered and got filled up. Today, I ordered a coffee and an oj first. When our server brought that, we ordered the Yard Work skillet with gluten-free toast and the BBB skillet with a biscuit. When the food arrived, the skillets appeared to be an egg or so short, as there were gaps between the food and the skillet, and it was below the top edge. The "skillet" is about the size of a mini loaf pan at half the height. Not much food at $13 & $14. I was completely out of coffee, and my wife was out of water. The toast was absolutely soggy. The jelly on the table was empty, and the container was covered in jelly. Our food was delivered by someone other than our server, so just a drop and run. Our skillets were gone, and my wife's biscuit was cold by the time our server came back to check how everything was going and if we needed anything. At that point, she brought another sticky bottle of jelly. I ordered a side of bacon, as i was still hungry. She promptly brought an undercooked and cold 3pc side of bacon. Still no drink refills. The ticket was $40ish before the tip, the food was underwhelming, the service was horrible. I know everyone has bad days, and I try to give grace. Today's total package has pushed me to decide that I'll never return. I still left an average tip with a sad face, and an explanation of why we were unsatisfied. Either go to Big Bad Breakfast with little expectation for portion size, or over order and pay a larger tab. BTW, the skillets...
