Wow, just wow.
I am a Nashville native. Brueggers has been a before-school occassional treat since my early years, and once brought so much joy to the community. That being said... The staff in there has become so unbearably rude that I guess I am finally out of more chances (and I have given them many extras because their bagels are so yummy, plus it's so convenient to our morning route).
Not only is the music extremely loud, but usually highly inappropriate lyrics for the child-filled customer line. I was reading recently reviews and just nodding. And yes, if the employees ever so much as crack a smile, it's because of the music.
We have had multiple occasions where our bagel has the remains of whichever smear the previous customer added to their bagel - wipe the spreader!!! Maybe even use a different spreader for each topping...? Just a thought. BUT, do not yell at me and argue with me when I point out the tomato paste on my son's cinnamon bagel - it's NOT strawberry cream cheese. Stop arguing with your customers.
THEN, we decided to start pre-ordering in hopes to have the order ready on the designated shelves so we don't have to get yelled at. Nope, they hold it hostage at the front register so you still have to talk to them. But don't bother ordering your to-go toasted. They won't do it - give it a try, seriously! 4 different friends have told me their recent orders have also all come untoasted. I guess they figure it's takeout, so by the time you notice, it's too late. Cool.
So as a final desperate attempt to maintain these yummy bagels in my children's lives, I decided to bulk order them and just keep them in the freezer. I placed my order before 10am, but picked up shortly after noon. Was on the phone and hoped to go in and quickly grab it since the lobby was completely empty and I was running 10 minutes behind. Nope. They held it hostage and then started yelling at me about how I should have known that those specialty flavors would have been out by that time of day. They are supposed to be open until 2pm, so why would they not make more to sell, right?
Sad to say, I am confident I gave them more chances than they deserved.
If the franchise owners are interested in selling, I would love to bring it back to it's...
Read moreI've lived near this shop for years and after all the "hype" I've heard, I finally gave it a try. First off, the manager and employee acted as though I wasn't even standing directly in front of them for three minutes while they gossiped. When I finally attained the attention of the employee, she was very unfriendly with lots of unnecessary attitude because I asked about TWO types of bagels and when they would be ready. After that she acted as though I wasn't even there...there were only two other customers in the store so that made it even more awkward. The employee I'm talking about is the female with gold front teeth. I've heard of her rude behavior from other people who frequent this shop. At the end, the manager wasn't any better. She looked as though she had just rolled out of bed, which I'm sure she did, and didn't act professional at all. Adding insult to injury, I believed I was over charged and my order messed up. I would have simply brought it up but I seriously didn't want anymore uninvited, unwanted nasty attitude so early in the morning. Through all of this I remained kind, quiet, and polite because that is how I've been taught to treat others. To be honest, I never write reviews especially bad ones but this place just rubbed me the wrong way. Before this, I suggested that my company start getting bagels from here for the office every Monday but that definitely will...
Read moreIve been to this location twice both times... AMAZING! First Ill start with the quality of the Bagels (best outside downtown nashville in this area) HANDS DOWN! These guys actually boil them first, one of the most important steps to making bagels thats where everyone else fails and you end up with a stiff ring of bread. Second there is no stiffing you when it comes to ingredients for example i ordered a plain untoasted wheat everything bagel it was the most authentic ive had in years, lets just say it wasnt looking like a middle age man up top kudos on that. I tried the hash brown bite it was really good and reminded me of another establishment that i wont name (its not their review) the only issue with them is, Brueggers you can at least slack up and give 2 piece for that price but im good with one as a human my wallet đ¤ˇđźââď¸ not so much.. Third the staffs service, Particularly the two ladies that were there both times i went on Sunday they are awesome people and do an excellent job at customer service, communicating with them just feels like im at home you cant get any better Please give recognition to these ladies Bruegger Bagels as a paying customer i feel they deserve it. All in enjoyable place to stop, delicious authentic ny style bagels 10/10 if you want a true example try this place its amazing! Highly...
