If you would have asked me 3 months ago, I would have told you this was my new favorite restaurant. Sadly, the decline over the past few weeks has been fierce. Note the date of the reviews before deciding to eat here. Initially the great food, great service, and front and back lawns where kids can run around, made this place our go-to spot when dining out. Then, we hit our first off-night about 3 weeks ago. I passed on outdoor seating and got my name on the wait list for inside, got a text confirming I was next in line, and then got forgotten about for the next 30 mins. When I asked the host what was up, he said he could seat me now (smiles)...outside. Also observed someone using an app to put their name on the list in advance when they showed it to a hostess. Me: What app do you use to do that? Hostess: I don't know. Second recent try we bailed because wait times were crazy. Third recent visit - Took 30 mins from sitdown to place the order. Had a margarita with black stuff all over the inside of the glass, or in the mix, couldn't be sure. When our food did come, we'd been there for over nearly an hour. Had to use one hand to continually swat at several flies, while eating with the other. Gave up, got a box and split. Did have time to visit the bathrooms on account of my kids. One toilet was stopped up. The other was pretty funky, I'll spare you the details but the picture of the air vent below will give you some idea of the general cleanliness. I don't want to take anything away from the wait staff, they do their best but are spread too thin. What seems to be lacking is someone in a position of authority to come in and really observe the experience they are putting customers through...that they are charging money for. If whoever's in charge would step foot in there to see what was actually happening, I'm sure a lot of this would shape up. Side note - the parking situation is going to get someone killed. Throw a sign up to keep people from parking right up to the edge of the entrance. Having to pull out blindly onto Gallatin is a death sentence. While you're at it, put a sign in front of the satellite lot entrance so folks stop blocking it by parking on the street, effectively cutting the already limited parking in half.

I can count on one hand how many times my family and I have eaten out since the beginning of the pandemic. Each time has been outside, in adequately distant spaced situations. And...we really miss eating out :( Sure, we order takeout but it's not the same. Enter El Fuego! We just discovered this restaurant not far from us with outdoor, separate and individual heated tent seating and let me tell you...game changer!! Sunday brunch was amazing! Fresh, chunky, glorious guacamole, warm house made chips! I ordered tacos al pastor and there was a party in my mouth. Like, a rager. The meat was so tender and flavorful. Even the beans and rice were so good I cleaned my plate. The cocktails are fun and creative. The prices are just incredible - it's hard to find food in Nashville this good at decent prices. The staff were so friendly, especially for having to go through all of the extra rigamarole of zipping and unzipping tents. It was just such a great experience for a couple of normalcy-starved people that, had it not been the midst of a pandemic I might just have hugged all the staff. We will certainly become regulars!

We arrived at the restaurant and it was not very crowded. We were seated outside at one of the only tables without shade in the blazing heat. Other tables had fans on the table as well as a covering. This includes the empty tables as well.we waited to be greeted for such a long time at our table we contemplated maybe going inside to order because we did not see any servers around at all for upwards of 10 to 15 minutes. Once a server came outside and saw us he told us that he would be with us in a minute despite not being our server. After another 15 minute wait our actual server approached us. When we asked him about one of the menu items and what was on it he had no idea and stumbled around trying to explain what it was.when we finally decided to order the appetizer we'd already finished our bag of chips and salsa so the guacamole we got we couldn't even eat because we had no chips.after I ask our server for chips because we did not have any he asked us how the guacamole was despite knowing that we don't have anything to eat it with. We then decided to order another round of drinks which took about 15 minutes to arrive. The chips came out with the drinks despite being in a bag and they could have been delivered much earlier. When the food was delivered about 45 minutes from when we ordered it we were very disappointed. The chicken on the tacos was extraordinarily dry and came with a very very small portion of rice. The The sweet potato hash was not even edible. I took one bite close the box and waited so I could have it taken off the order. when they took off that item from the order a manager came to apologize and deliver the bill. After a review of the bill I noticed that they had overcharged us for three of the four items. When I brought this up to the manager he said he would change it but had an attitude the entire time I was telling him how they messed up the pricing. I would like to mention that I think overall this restaurant is run poorly. Both myself and my partner are white so I don't believe this has anything to...

I want to be clear about the one star so that there is no confusion. The food itself is amazing. I had the Mahi, Steak, and Grilled chicken tacos. The food is amazing. My girlfriends and I decided to try this restaurant based on recommendations from others. However what starts as an amazing night turned into a fiasco of grand proportion. I had to send my actual check back three times because the pricing wasn’t accurate and the manager kept getting an attitude about his mistakes that I pointed out. I was cut off because he accused me of being highly intoxicated after having two margaritas and a Paloma. The two margaritas were limited to two only. The waitress stated I could have another drink as long as it wasn’t frozen. When I placed my order she stated I could not have it because I was limited however the limit is only placed on the Suave Frozen Margarita. The manager then tried to come and stare that as a doctor my liver isn’t suppose to have a certain amount of alcohol and I explained to him that since he isn’t a doctor that I should be allowed to drink what I want especially since I’m not driving. I only got upset because I felt disrespected because of the assumption of intoxication when my girlfriends and I were just having a great girls night. According to the menu the only drink that is limited is the Suave. I am currently writing this review sitting in the tent my party was in. I am the last person leaving and I actually stacked all the plates, glasses, and plastic cups for the busser. In short I would recommend they not make assumptions about people and treat everyone with respect. Emma was a sweet server, but the manager whose name I did not catch was not great. From huffing and puffing to eye rolling, and trying to justify his thoughts based on assumptions I won’t come back. This is such a great atmosphere maybe others will have...
