We ordered a pizza with roasted tomatoes on it from Roma and it came out wrong; they gave us a veggie instead. We were charged for their premium pizza. When we called and brought the pizza back, they still made the next pizza wrong, but at this point we figured we could live with a Garlic base since it didn’t have all the other vegetables on it we didn’t ask for. The counter attendee took our name and said he’d give us a free pizza on our next order. We called today to order and we were surprised when the individual who said we would get a free pizza for the inconvenience changed his mind and said we would only be given a small discount instead. We decided to take our business elsewhere. They could have had a regular customer but decided to be money hungry and go back on their word. Guess we will go to Italia instead.
Update response: the first pizza that was ordered was a 14” that is correct, but the price charged was for one of your gourmet pizzas and the pizza we ultimately received was a 1 topping pizza. So essentially we were charged for a pizza that was next to double the cost of what we actually ordered. The sauce was incorrect. When someone orders a cheese pizza, what first comes to mind is a traditional cheese pizza with red sauce. There was no distinction that we made on our part for a GARLIC base. Also, how is one able to tell exactly what base is used under cheese? Considering you screwed up twice, made us drive all the way back to your shop, and promised a free pizza, we just figured we would live with it; as there appears to be a language barrier to climb over. When we called a second time, we did want to order a larger (20”) pizza, but considering the information mentioned above about all we had to do just to get what we ordered the first time (and not even get it), we were not expecting to be charged full price. Sure we would have been willing to pay extra for the larger pizza, but for the total to basically be the menu price, after being told we would be compensated with a free pizza for the issues with our last order, is laughable. You obviously just did not want to correct your mistake appropriately, or take responsibility for providing bad service. You can forget about the discount because it obviously means nothing, as it is just pennies. You said a free pizza, and the fact you wouldn’t even honor a 14” at the same price is shady to say the least. Your business is a sham. If you go out of business you...
Read moreI’ve lived in Nashville for a few years and Roma’s was always a solid choice for pizza... however, I hadn’t ordered from them in a while.
For the first time in about a year, I placed an order with them... gave them my credit card info. They told me I’d have an hour wait, which I accepted.
After an hour and a half, I called back... they told me I called the wrong store. I told them that was impossible cause I simply clicked redial on my phone and had re-called the original store... it wasn’t until I argued that I’d take a screenshot of my recent calls and of them charging my credit card, and give them a bad review... than they “realized” my food was out for delivery.
I waited another half hour. Still during that time, no one delivered my food (the store was no more than a 10 minute drive).
I called them back and, again they tried to claim that I didn’t place an order with their store. I reminded them that I was simply redialing the last number that I called and - again - they “remembered” that the food was out for delivery.
My food arrived about 10 minutes later.
Ultimately, this was a ridiculous struggle for mediocre quality. At this point my food was cold and they deserve the garbage review.
Response to restaurants comments: “First of all,” I’m leaving a review for the “Inglewood/East Nashville” on Gallatin. I literally clicked on this store before leaving a review. Second, I understand restaurants get busy, but if you’re busy don’t tell me it’ll be an hour when it’s going to take closer to 2.5 hours to deliver my food. Tell me you’re busy and my wait may be around 2 hours so I can decide if I want to proceed with my order or not. Lastly, are you really trying to shift the blame to me by questioning my decision to order delivery instead of carry out?! LOL, that’s literally bonkers crazy logic and a sad attempt at deflection. Your store provided lousy service, tried to get out of delivering my food twice when I called to ask for a status on delivery, and I paid full price for a cold pizza. Don’t worry though, I’ll literally never order from your store or even your chain of...
Read moreOrdered from here today for the first time and was very happy with my experience. I’d ordered a calzone for pickup via their website, and when I got there to pick it up, discovered that they had made it as a pizza by accident. The gentleman behind the counter was very apologetic and told me he’d make me a new calzone on the spot and I could take home the pizza as well. In less than 10 minutes, I was out the door with my calzone and the free oops pizza. When I got home, I tried both, and they were both delicious and totally hit the spot. The pizza had a buttery crust with the perfect amount of chew, and was super cheesy with well-balanced toppings. The calzone was also delicious, with lots of mozzarella and oozy ricotta, and the generous side of marinara was the perfect tangy flavor. (I’m not a fan of overly sweet marinara for a calzone.) Mistakes get made, but what matters is owning it and making it right. I was very pleased by the food and how the gentleman behind the counter handled the situation. I will definitely...
