An overall good experience, ruined though by one waiter. We came here for a bachelorette party to do a tour and have lunch. The tour was amazing. Our tour guide (Alex) was fantastic. He was knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. He also went out of his way to get their Italian hard soda during the tasting for our group member with a gluten allergy. At the end of the tour he got us set up with menus to order lunch. Our waiter (Jared) on the other hand ruined the experience. At the beginning of our experience with him he told us to order fast as he only had an hour left to work. Throughout the experience he ridiculed our plans for night saying that they were “lame.” As a Nashville-native who planned the entire party I felt very humiliated and upset that another local would “shame” us for not adhering to the classic Nashville bachelorette experience - which we didn’t want to do as that was not the vibe of the group. Furthermore, when ordering, our group member with the gluten allergy asked a series of questions regarding the nachos to ensure she had the lowest risk of gluten-cross contamination. He wasn’t knowledgeable about the menu item and went to ask someone about it. He assured us that it was gluten-free. As she was finishing her nachos, she realized that the queso on the nachos looked exactly like the beer cheese sauce used in the max and cheese and on the tater tots. We asked someone at the bar who confirmed that they use the beer cheese on the nachos (which the menu does not specify, although it does specify beer cheese on all the other menu items that it is included in). We were incredibly upset and our gluten-allergy group member did become sick. Alex (our tour guide) took over as our waiter after all of these issues with Jared. Our last concern was that we learned that tips are pooled, so even though Alex became our waiter, Jared would still receive any tips we left. This was disappointing because Alex did such a phenomenal job on the tour and took great care of us, but Jared would still reap part...
Read moreThis is the first time I’ve ever written a review and I hop around Nashville all the time, so this is weird for me, but after today I feel compelled. The beer was fine at best, I really don’t care about amazing beer but I do care about the basics of service. This service was probably the one of the most confusing and non functional things I’ve seen in Nashville.
After sitting for 20 mins with no service by a gas-less fire pit with 16 dirty glasses by it, I asked a server where I order to hear “here or bar” before walking away and leaving us for another 10 mins. I eventually had to summon another one of the many servers to figure out an order. There must have been 15 servers walking around. After 30 mins I had a beer. I sat for 90 mins with a party of 6 planning to spend a lot of time and money and wasn’t checked in on once!!!! Not even once. Grabbed another average beer at the bar. Checking out our tab took an additional 25 mins, I had 2 beers...in 90 mins. Not to mention the place particularly the pool table area and central fire pit area was very very dirty and grimy.
I’m not trying to slate anyone, I’m very laid back and this is taking a lot of me to do this, but after seeing the place on Netflix, recently getting engaged and exploring venues for my my fiancé and I’s wedding, and hearing our friends are marrying here I was so excited to check it out. Honestly, it might be growing pains, but I just left feeling frustrated, thirsty, dirty, and massively underwhelmed. If you’re looking for a brewery experience, go somewhere a little more established. Only star is for the fact I saw...
Read moreThe food is good and the staff is nice, and I love having something close to the house like this, but the owners refuse to be considerate of the neighbors and consistently have extremely loud live events that we can hear down the street inside our home. After multiple visits from metro PD, repeated noise complaints to the city and meetings/requests to find a solution from the brewery, they simply continue to have events that are very disruptive and ignore the multitude of neighbors who have been bothered and filed noise ordinance complaints.
As a professional audio engineer and musician, I’m the last person to misrepresent sound decibel levels and have issues with music and outdoor speakers and events. But this is a wildly unreasonable degree of volume and is extremely disruptive in our home and the homes of every single person within several hundred feet in any direction.
For a brewery/restaurant to choose to operate in a neighborhood with families, and then decide to act as a live event venue - is outright disrespectful to the people who bought homes here and want to enjoy their afternoons and nights without feeling bass and hearing speakers clearly inside their walls.
They are simply not being good stewards of families in the neighborhood regarding their presence and sheer volume on the patio and in the event space. Until this issue is resolved or made to be more respectful of the area they chose to plant their business, I simply cannot...
