Hissho Sushi — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

Came in the Tues before Thanksgiving and ordered a poke bowl, as the prices were extremely fair ($12). I followed the menu instructions for ordering, had a nice interaction with the man at the counter, tipped, paid... And then realized I was charged $15 ($19 total).

I mentioned it to the employee and he said it was because the krab salad charged as a second meat and he wasn't sure why. I mentioned krab salad was listed as a topping option with no upcharge beside it on the menu. He agreed with me but said it was wrong in the system for some reason and he couldn't do anything.

I didn't kick up a fuss because I hadn't noticed before paying and $15 was still very fair for the food. The whole thing was shady and unnecessary though - $15 would be a more than fair price to charge outright or even putting on the upcharge or having the employee just mention it. I wanted to share my experience so others know to check the total first. Or better yet, not to patron a place that's dishonest and pulls a bait and...

The sushi place was okay. I ordered the rainbow roll which was $13.00. I felt the sushi quality was pretty much that of grocery store sushi. The fish wasn't bad nor were the vegetables, but I thought the rice was a bit mushy. The seating was relatively open and comfortable. I felt the staff was helpful if asked but for the most part, they are disinterested. My server Amy would walk by and bring/take away dishes but didnt really say a word after taking my order. Didnt even respond or look at me when I said thank you.

Overall, I think they could improve on the quality of ingredients as well as staff/customer interaction. Until then, best to buy a burger nearby which would fill you up for...

Very polite lady took my order and sushi chef just literally made it while listening to me. She printed ticket and he handed me fresh made poke

Walked all the way to my gate, I expected mediocre and I was blown away, fish was fresh, so was all the rest in the bowl. I would order this again.

Good enough to stop and order food after arriving and prior to leaving to airport.
