When I walked in, no one was there to greet me, so I stood there peering around to see if I should seat myself or wait to be seated. After maybe 45 seconds someone saw me and pointed me out to the hostess. She came and walked me to my seat. She was courteous, so my issues are not with her. However, my waitress is a different story. I'll get to that in a moment. I noticed that I was only one of three tables in the restaurant. The hostess asked me what I would like to drink, and I said "Pepsi". When she returned with my drink, she asked if I was ready to order. I told her I needed a few minutes to look at the menu. It wasn't but maybe a minute or two later someone, who I thought was the hostess, came and asked me if I was ready to order. In my head, I was like dang I have barely even looked at the menu before being asked again about placing my order. I felt like was being rushed, so I looked up and saw it was someone other than the hostess. I said, I'll go ahead and order, so I ordered my usual. Throughout this interaction I sensed some animosity from her. I honestly felt like she just didn't want to serve me. Keep in mind, at this point the only words I had said to anyone was "Pepsi" and "give me a few minutes to look at the menu" and these words were with the hostess. It was maybe 10 minutes later, my waitress brought my food. The food was great, but the service was horrible. She walks away and I realized there wasn't any syrup on the table. I looked around and saw some on other tables, but saw that she had walked to a table behind me, so I said, "excuse me I need some syrup". She brought some to me, I said thank you, and she mumbled welcome, uh-huh, or something. As I'm eating, I needed a refill on my drink. She was just walking around doing random stuff and not checking in on the three tables she had. The table behind me had to request something from the waitress, and my empty glass was placed on the side of the table for her to see. She doesn't notice it, and only came back to me when she brought my check. She still didn't acknowledge my empty glass, so I spoke up and asked for a refill. She said ok, and then disappears. She was doing random stuff, and it looked like she forgot about me. She walked away from me, walked back to the table behind me, walked from one side of the store to the other. When I asked for the refill, I still had a whole pancake, four slices of bacon, and a little bit of eggs left. Eventually she brought me the refill. At that point I only had two slices of bacon left. Once I ate the two slices of bacon and drank about half the refill, I got up to pay and leave. I walked to the front, and no one was there, so I went into restroom, washed my hands, and went back to the front by the register. After standing there for a minute, she walks over and says, "I can take your payment". In my head, I was like "duh, that's what I'm standing here for". Rather than taking my payment there, she walked to the back of the restaurant and swiped my card. She walks back, hands me my card. I said thank you, and she mumbled welcome or uh-huh again. Needless to say, I didn't tip. This is probably only the third time in my life...
Read more9/15/24 Experience To whom it may concern, My name is Zac and I went to the IHOP at the intersection of Harding Place/Nolensville Rd in Nashville around 5:30-5:40pm (CST) on Sun, Sept 15, 2024. Now mind you I rarely complain about my expeirences as I am regarding this one. Upon arriving. the restaurant was not crowded at all. There was a server and another employee that I suppose was the cook. They were seated in one of the booths. There was also another family that had just finished their meal and were leaving. I was seated and then I placed my order (All You Can Eat Pancake Platter with a water to drink). My water comes out to the table very quickly then the server disappears into the office and I never see her again. The other employee, who I am assuming was the cook, came from the kitchen and sat back down in the booth - Not a care/desire to even check on the one and only table and guest in the restaurant. By now it was about 5:50pm and I still haven't seen the server but the other employee just sat down at one of the booths. I gave it another 5 minutes before I decided to just up and leave. I walked out and I am not sure if the employee at the booth heard me or not but I said "I'm done with this place!" I never received food. I imagine it was sitting in the kitchen getting cold while the server was nowhere to be found! I also tried to phone the restaurant and no one answered! No wonder why it was a ghost town in the first place and your business is struggling because you don't value your customers. You also apparently don't value your employees either at the Hardling Place location in Nashville either as they are apparently allowed to do whatever they want to without any accountability. I was craving pancakes and a good meal and that was taken away from me because no one seemed to care enough to do their job. I will not be returning to the Harding Place/Nolensville Road location and will definitely not recommend this location to anyone! Address this matter with whoever the manager is there and fix it! I will also be calling corporate tomorrow as this is unacceptable.
Out of the blue I was craving IHOP and went on a whim. I haven't been to an IHOP in years. Myself and only 2 other customers were in there. I came in wanting the Cinna-Stack but they told me they were old of the cinnamon spread. I also heard that they were out of orange/apple juices as well. I kind of wish that I had left when I heard that they were out of the China-Stack as that was what I was wanting but I stayed the course as I went with the classic 2 pancake combo with bacon and hash browns.
$15 and honestly the quality wasn't great. Pancakes were good but the hash browns weren't great
Knowing they were out of several things it made me think about what else they were out of as well but I didn't ask as the restaurant wasn't...
Read moreDon’t go to this IHOP unless you have three hours to burn. My family and I have been return visitors because the food is usually good. Service and wait times not so much. However today was the worst experience we’ve had to date and we’re done for good. We waited for ten plus minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. Another ten minutes to get seated when there were only four other parties in the whole restaurant. Waiter was very friendly once seated so we were hopeful (the wait staff at this location is typically unfriendly and underwhelming). Waiter took down our orders and repeated them back to us correctly (I wish I had gotten his name but forgot to ask). Food didn’t come out for 45 minutes, and everything was wrong. Only one out of three meals was delivered correctly, and it took three tries and about twenty minutes for the correct food to come out. In the middle of the back and forth, another server came out whose name was Autumn. She immediately tried to blame all of the problems on our waiter who she said was “very new.” However so far he had assisted us completely on his own, which you would expect someone to be with a new team member to train them. Autumn also saw that my father had eaten some of his incorrect food and referred to that as being “a problem,” which is ridiculous, rude, and unprofessional. He ate some of it because A. He was trying to figure out if it was what he ordered (he ordered sausage but they delivered the wrong kind) and B. He was starving because we had been waiting a combined total of 1.5 hours to eat at that point. We repeatedly asked for drink refills during the back and forth of the food being corrected. Drinks were delivered right around the time we finished eating and asked for our check. In talking with the waiter, he told us it was actually his FIRST DAY. He had apparently been thrown onto the floor completely alone, including ringing in orders, which I watched him do by himself as we were close to the register. I think what really happened is he rang the order in wrong, at no fault of his own because it’s not his fault no one was helping him on his first day at a new job. I’d like to be clear that all the waiter said to us was that it was his first day. He didn’t disparage the management for throwing him to the wolves and had a great attitude. I say this because I don’t want him to get in trouble. He was very sweet and I’m sure would have done a perfect job if he had been trained. In conclusion, this location is an absolute dumpster fire and I don’t recommend anyone to waste their time or money there. Also wouldn’t recommend anyone working there unless they want to have a...
