Marble Slab Creamery — Restaurant in Nashville-Davidson

Just moved here and my 5 year old son wanted ice cream, googled closest to us and this was the place. Upon walking in I noticed 5 teenagers behind the counter acting completely unprofessional. Granted I know they are young, and this is probably their first job. But as a customer the last thing you want to be listening to is them joking around calling each other stupid, telling each other to shut up, calling each other “dumb as hell” and even seeing who can punch each other the hardest, standing there on their phones and not greeting any customers that walk through the door. Each customer that came in, I listened to them complain about the same thing. Probably not a good idea to have 5 high school kids working without a supervisor present. As someone that works in business management, I would be absolutely mortified knowing my workers were acting like this. I’d say a lot more training needs to take place. Wow.

I love ice cream, and my two kids are obsessed. All day I used the “if you do a, b, c today you’ll get ice cream,” so you can imagine how excited and ready they where when we walked in tonight.

I had to leave almost immediately. Why? Because as soon as I walked in I was greeted by some of the most vulgarly explicit “music” I’ve ever heard. We’re talking really really nasty words repeated over and over again at bar-like volume. Words that would get my children immediately sent home from school.

I am not a prude. Four letter words happen in my home. These where not those words. We’re talking really really graphic descriptions. This is an ICE CREAM SHOP. How does one justify blaring this?

My wife took me here today for a Milkshake for my Birthday. You don't go to a Marble Slab just for the ice cream. You go for the mix-ins which they failed to ask my son about with his bowl of ice cream. Now on the milkshake I get except they can make smoothies so even adding nuts should have been an option. I got double dark chocolate and cinnamon. What I got was those two just not a Milkshake. I'm not a thick milkshake guy. Though they give you a nice straw for a thick milkshake, or a boba tea for that matter, the milkshake came out the consistency of chocolate milk. Not even thick chocolate milk.
