If you grew up in the 70s and 80s in a larger metro area that has more than one “Asian” restaurant, you’ll understand how perfect this place is and why you need to try it. It’s genuinely perfection—amazing smells coming from the kitchen; frantic, grumpy Chinese chef who seems to be questioning his life choices while he cooks; exhausted, distracted mom running the register and serving; kids helping fold napkins while doing homework in one of the three run-down booths; literally no decor other than boxes everywhere…it’s honestly my favorite place here for Chinese food. I promise this is not sarcasm.

The food is 100% the exact Chinese American food you would get from any really classic Chinese American restaurant like you did back when you were 10 and going out was a treat because mom was tired and didn’t want to cook, and you’d spend 20 minutes debating Family Style dinner B versus C (obviously no one gets A) and arguing about the sweet and sour pork versus the Mongolian beef because didn’t we get sweet and sour pork last time??!

If you know, you know. Fantastic place. I love it. I have emotionally adopted this sweet family and their dive and I think about them and their...

I liked very much the House special LoMein and the gyosa, but the fried rice was very dull, it didn’t really had any specific good or bad flavor. It was also not white rice, it was made with parboiled rice which made it have a weird texture. The service was bad, the lady was rude, the place was empty and you could tell why, she looked at me like she didn’t wanna serve me. My sister wanted fried rice with only chicken and beef and they were laughing at me when I said it, then she asked “you want chicken or beef” I said “just do a chicken fried rice and add beef” and she said “how much?” I’m like “just a side of beef and she asks “one dollar? Two dollar?” I’m uncomfortable at this point but still hungry so I just said $3 and that what you see in the pic...

Delivery service is crap. I'm at work and I decide to give this place a try so I called at 11:49am to order food, I tipped over the phone. I call again at 12:36pm because I haven't seen my delivery person yet, the lady who took my order answered, and I said very calmly, " hey, I called around 11:30 and I haven't gotten my order yet." She asked me for my address again and then she chuckled and said "you said you called at 11:30? I don't think so." I can prove that I called them because like every smart phone- it keep record of all phone calls. As I'm writing this review it's 7 minutes until 1:00pm. I STILL haven't seen my order. I checked my online banking account and they had taken the money out already.. so where...

The young staff seemed a bit indifferent and not very knowledgeable about their menu, especially the Egg Foo Young gravy, which can vary in flavor, so I decided not to order it. The shrimp fried rice was a disappointment for me; it was made with yellow rice, which I later learned is common in the South, but as someone not from this area, I expected the traditional white rice found in most Chinese restaurants. The egg drop soup had a nice color and texture but lacked flavor in my opinion. The location is convenient, but unfortunately, the food and service didn’t meet expectations. I won’t be returning.

Ordered the roast pork fried rice (photos attached) and there was very little pork in it. Rice tasted old. We also ordered the shrimp fried rice and it came in the same size container (we should’ve taken pics) and it came with 3-4 shrimp the size of your pinky fingernail. We also added a wonton soup (which was sub par) and the total cost was $32 (takeout, NOT delivery) WONT BE RETURNING
